Still is brand new. It is an architecturally designed Nordic inspired Retreat. Every detail has been considered to make your experience unforgettable.
Hygge - Still has been created with the Danish concept of hygge at the forefront. A mood of cosiness and comfort with feelings of wellness and contentment. Hygge means creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people.
Ideal - Still is just as perfect as a romantic getaway as it is for a group of close friends meeting up to experience Coles Bay/Freycinet National Park differently.
Master bedroom - spectacular views of the ocean from your dreamy king-sized bed. Motorised blinds and heated timber floors provide a new standard of comfort (and are available in both master bedrooms). A round, charcoal bathtub positions itself in front of a floor-to-ceiling window, all to capture amazing, yet private views from your bubble bath.
Second master - picture-perfect views of the ocean from your comfortable king-sized bed. A spacious deck leading to the cedar sauna and outdoor resting area gives individualised access to comfort. The outdoor shower is also nestled in a privately-screened area close by. The ensuite is adorned with custom Tasmanian timbers and a handmade basin from acclaimed Tasmanian artist Lindsey Wherrett.
Bunk room - a room for up to four. Tasmanian oak timbers rest on a foundation cantilevered from the wall creating a modern take on the bunk bed. A queen-sized bed sits in the centre of the room looking out a window to the north. A sunny space for reflection. This ensuite includes a large walk-in shower, custom Tasmanian timber-work, and a handmade basin from Tasmanian artist Lindsey Wherrett.
Entertain - A fully equipped coffee bar and kitchen await. A massive kitchen island, using Tasmanian timber and granite bench tops, provides a space for a crowd (if you feel like sharing your time with others). Our beautifully appointed kitchen has everything you need to create sumptuous grazing plates or gourmet feasts. A contemporary dining room and perfectly positioned lounge area share views of the ocean. A double-sided fireplace separates the main living areas. Two extensive decks sit on either side of the house and there is immediate access to each. There is a sneaky, separate reading room with a giant day bed (perfect for settling in with a good book on a miserable day) and a pull-out queen sofa for extra guests that need a safe place to rest.
Tales by the fire - In the winter months, you may wish to follow the steps from the dwelling to the gigantic fire pit area, a breathtaking view from a different perspective. Watch the boats pass by, see the dolphins playing and witness the colours of the Hazards changing in the distance.
As evening falls, enjoy a glass of wine by the fire, and provide yourself with the opportunity to sit, reflect and appreciate the Stillness.
Explore - If you love the beach, there is protected swimming a short walk over the dunes. You could take an easier route from the Sandpiper beach entry if that suits you too. Why not grab our picnic gear (picnic basket with supplies, sand chairs, an umbrella, and billabong rug)? Always take care when swimming as conditions can change from time to time and no lifeguards are on duty.
If you feel like exploring the area Still is a perfect base to access local attractions including Freycinet National Park, Bicheno and Swansea, or take a day trip to St Helens, The Bay of Fires, and the many other stunning east coast beaches and hikes this pristine region has to offer. - If more bed/bath rooms are used than that required for the number of guests booked, an additional room fee will apply. Please contact us prior to your arrival if you require use of extra rooms for your stay.
- For groups of 8 or less guests who require the use of our 4th room and pull-out sofa bed, there is an additional one off fee of $50.00.
The driveway to Still is quite steep but fully concreted. Still comes with ample parking available on site with an option to park at the mid-level section of the driveway near the shed and walk down to the entrance, for those not comfortable driving down to the lower undercover parking area. There is a shared access driveway with the neighbouring property, allowing you to drive straight in and straight out, so it isn't as intimidating as it may first seem. There is a small set of 7 stairs at the main entrance, so guests with mobility issues may not find this property suitable.
You can wander down to Sandpiper Beach using the direct access tracks on Swanwick Drive, or you can wander through the dunes on the ocean view side of the property. (These tracks connect to the public beach access tracks). The grounds are yours to enjoy.

Well-behaved children are catered for but must be supervised closely as the property is not fenced and has direct access to the dunes and beach.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are available by prior arrangement for $50/per hour before 2pm and/or after 10am and are subject to availability.
Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Still, and we provide dog bowls and a small bed for your convenience, but prior approval for dogs is a must. Please keep in mind our yard is not fully fenced. Dogs must be kept on a lead when outside for their own safety. Please make sure your dog is not allowed on any furniture and any mess in our yard is cleaned up prior to your departure.
*Please note, a $50 clean-up fee will apply for any mess left behind. If your dog causes any damage to the property and/or the furnishings during your stay, you will be liable for any repair/replacement costs.
