Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A rescue boat in WW2, then a courtesy boat for the Queen, now a unique B&B in private grounds in the heart of the wine and fine-dining district of the Mornington Peninsula.
Red Hill Boat features a number of character-filled small rooms with restored original fittings and modern amenities, offering surprises in every room.
A local-produce based breakfast hamper is provided.
There is no other B&B in the world like the Red Hill Boat.

The space
Red Hill Boat boasts numerous unique and exciting features: a sunken shower, simulated controls in the wheelhouse, 1940’s radio, papers and magazines; while offering the latest in smart TV, quality hi-fi, free wi-fi, and sumptuous luxury in heated/air-conditioned comfort. There is also an Indoor Fireplace : electric for ambience and extra heat if desired.
Red Hill Boat rests in her own private area, well removed from the main house and farm. There’s an outdoor bath, barbecue area and outdoor furnace. Parking is free and easy, via a private driveway off the main entrance.
Walking distance or by short drive, nearby amenities include restaurants, wineries and brewery, with Red Hill central to both bay and ocean beaches.

Guest access
Coded security gates and self-access via key safe.

Other things to note
Red Hill Boat is, well … a boat.
Although surprisingly spacious, it has small doorways, low ceilings, steps up and down and narrow walkways, making it unsuitable for the very old, the very young, the very large or the very infirm.

There is a kitchenette inside the boat with microwave, toaster, bar fridge, pod coffee machine and kettle. Cooking is outside on a Webber bbq with pizza stone and separate gas ring.

Accommodation is for two people only.
RED HILL BOAT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN OF ANY AGE, AT ANY TIME.
Pets are strictly prohibited.
There is no smoking or vaping in or on any part of the boat or pier.

* Please note - As a matter of safety the fire furnace is not available for use during the Mornington Peninsula summer fire restrictions season.

There is no other B&B in the world like the Red Hill Boat.

Neighbourhood highlights

Walking distance to brewery, gourmet supermarket, chemist, bakery, restaurants and wineries. Short drive to many other wineries, tourist attractions and beaches.

This is just a list of suggestions within about 10 mins drive from Red Hill Boat.

Walks: Endeavour Fern Gully - opposite the Red Hill Reserve on Arthurs Seat Road. Lovely easy walk full of ferns, creeks, birds and wildlife. (5 mins drive from Red Hill Boat)
Red Hill Rail Trail - behind the Epicurean 13 k’s walk to Merricks General store where there is great food, wine, coffee and cake. Easy walk (2 mins drive from Red Hill Boat or you can walk to it)

Dromana Industrial Estate - off Boundary Road Dromana (less than 10 mins drive from Red Hill Boat)
Here you will find:
Jetty Road Brewery - Great beer and food. Sometimes live music too.
Two Bays Brewery - Gluten free and vegan beer, beer paddles and pizza.
Jimmy Rum - Rum tastings and cocktails.
Bass and Flinders Distillery - You can even book a Masterclass to make your own gin, brandy and cocktails.
Mr Little Cider - Tasting paddles and food platters. So many varieties.
Little Rebel Coffee Roastery - Fabulous coffee. Drop in for a cup or buy some coffee. Small batch roasted.
Boat Shed Cheese - Locally handmade cheeses. Tasting platters.
Red Hill Candle Co - You can also book candle making workshops.
Verdant Dwelling - Amazing range of indoor plants. A must for plant lovers.
The Factory Antique Market - lots of stalls with antiques, collectables, vintage and retro

There is also a great cafe/ bakery, Millers Bread kitchen, 116 Nepean Road, Dromana which is all solar and run by a local family.
Next door you will find Dromana Indoor Market which has about 80 stores of vintage ware. (About 10 minutes drive from Red Hill boat)

We love to eat at Foxeys on White Hill Road and have their ‘feed me’ menu. Delicious share plates that just keep arriving and of course fabulous wine. (About 5 mins drive from Red Hill Boat)

And if you are into fabulous biodynamic cider - Mock Red Hill on the Mornington to Flinders Road. (About 10 mins from Red Hill Boat) A 6th generation local family. They have light share lunches and you can wander through some of their apple orchards.

Or you can just relax and enjoy being on the boat. Throw a prawn on the bbq (also a great seafood shop, Peninsula Fresh Seafood, in the Dromana Industrial Estate), cook a pizza on the pizza stone in the gas Weber (local shops have ready-made pizzas), sip wine or complimentary beer on the Queen’s Deck then pop across the road to the brewery to get more! Lie on the hammock or the sun lounges, play quoits, have an outdoor bath under the stars, sit around the fire furnace and toast marshmallows or watch a movie in the saloon.

Of course there are also amazing beaches, surf and bay, vineyards and so much more …
