The property boasts a large variety of native birds including seasonal Buff-Breasted Paradise Kingfishers, Olive-Backed Sunbirds, Parrots, and Brush Turkeys. Also local wildlife including Red-legged Pademelons, Agile Wallabies (rainforest Wallabies), Ulysses and Birdwing Butterflies, Reptiles, Amphibians like the White-lipped Tree-Frog, Rhinoceros Beetle and other local insects roam that grounds.
Major attractions in the area include:
180 Million Year old rainforest - Daintree Rainforest,

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cottage. Surrounding the cottage, guests have access to gardens and rainforest at the back area of the property.
Your hosts live in a separate dwelling close to the entrance of the property.
Getting here, it's best to visit with a car, as there is no Public Transport in the area.
Other things to note
All water to the house is from a sustainable supply of year-round flowing clean drinkable bore water. Known locally as 'heritage water' this water has permeated down from the hinterlands to the Daintree Rainforest for tens of thousands of years.
Please note that the cottage is in a remote area with no WIFI and limited Telstra mobile coverage. There can also be occasional power outages.
This property is not suitable for children 12 years of age and under as there are two dams on the property.
Unfortunately guests are not permitted to bring pets onto the property - this is purely to protect and encourage the native wildlife.
The toilet is on a septic tank, so please follow the instructions placed in the toilet.
