The space
This 1911 beauty is located in a quiet, quaint neighborhood in Alpine. You will find restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops, and shopping only a few blocks away in downtown Alpine.

The home has tons of character with high ceilings, wood beams and original hardwood floors. It has two bedrooms with queen beds, one bath, a formal dining room that leads to a full-size furnished kitchen. You can relax in a spacious living room with an adjoining TV room. There is a large front porch with rockers and a small table/ chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine. The house is decorated with art from the area, some antiques, and comfortable furniture. It has been updated to include modern features such as central air conditioning and heating. W
Alpine is centrally located for visits to Ft. Davis, Marfa, Marathon, Big Bend, McDonald Observatory and much more.

We love staying in Airbnb when we travel; we've found it to be more relaxing, comfortable and conducive for exploring the various locales. We've explored Fredericksburg, Brenham, Marfa, much of Louisiana as well as the California wine country, San Francisco, and San Diego this way.

Both of us are West Texas natives. (Gay Nell grew up in Big Spring and Jeffrey lived in Lubbock for several years. Gay Nell got her bachelor's degree at Sul Ross State University and fell in love with the area.) We're retired now and while vacationing in Alpine in February of 2018, we decided to see if there was a house for sale that suited us. We found the perfect location shortly after with the added bonus of a casita on the property. We renovated everything and here we are.
