Welcome to Orchards Nest. Nestled high on a hill overlooking glorious rolling green hills, orchards, blue skies and towering green gum trees. Settle in for some spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

Friendly wildlife, twinkling stars and a custom made mineral hot tub are yours when you stay here. Feel the quiet stillness of the surrounding Tasmanian bush whilst you explore our private bush trail. Pause from the race of life, rest, recharge, connect with nature and rejuvenate.

The space
Our beautiful crafted property contains plenty of space for up to 6 guests to enjoy. It's perfect for couples, a family getaway or to celebrate special milestones.

THE SPACES:

MASTER BEDROOM:

Queen bed with luxurious linens, plus a daybed that converts to a full double bed for extra guests (linen charges apply).

KITCHEN:

Fully contained kitchen with an oven and all the cooking utensils and necessities you'll need to cook up a feast.

BATHROOM:

One full bathroom with shower and toilet. For a deep bath, head outside to the mineral hot tub.

EXTERIOR:

The custom stainless steel mineral spa is yours to enjoy. We also have an outside fire pit and private bush trail on the property.

EXPLORE:

Just a short 30 minute drive from Hobart CBD and 50 minutes from Hobart Airport, Orchards Nest is a great location in which to explore Southern Tasmania.

Close to all the wonderful wineries, cideries, boutique cafes and bakeries that the Huon Valley offers, ask us for our favourite recommendations or have a look at our guest manual at the property.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property including the private and custom made hot tub. There is plenty of car parking space and turn around space at the top of the driveway. The house and tub are set in the bush and the closest house is 70m away screened by gum-trees.

PLEASE NOTE: Access to this beautiful home is via a steep 300m gravel driveway. It is accessible with a 2WD however if you have had no experience driving on gravel, you may find this driveway challenging.

The two main obstacles are a steep section at the start of the hill and a hairpin bend to the left half way up.

Other things to note
Unfortunately, due to the mineral spa, outdoor spaces and wildlife, we cannot accommodate pets at Orchards Nest.

We've got the basics covered in terms of oil, salt, pepper and pantry staples. We leave all our guests our farm fresh local apple juice and apples to enjoy.

For those with mobility concerns, there are steps to access the upstairs bedrooms, outside patio and pool.

PLEASE NOTE: Guests are welcome to use the mineral hot tub during their stay. As it is unsupervised, use is at your own risk. We ask that children are always accompanied and watched by an adult.
