Other things to note
Please read before booking:

Parking:

We can arrange parking for 1 car.

The parking is first come first serve. If no parking is available, please make use of the on-street parking across the road.

Kindly notify us if you will need parking and provide your car registration number, and make, and model.

Noise:

The apt is located on the Kalk Bay main road with a train that runs nearby. You will hear road noise as well as the occasional train horn.

This is a part of the overall vibe that makes up the Kalk Bay buzz. You can't beat the location and will benefit from the close proximity to all local eateries, tidal pools, and the many boutique and antique stores that line the streets of Kalk Bay.

Loadshedding:

Unfortunately, South Africa is dealing with rolling blackouts on a scheduled basis. This means that power outages are scheduled for up to 4 hours at a time, depending on the schedule.

We do not have a backup generator in the building to mitigate this. We do provide an electric lantern and guests are still able to cook as there is a braai/ woodfire BBQ. Or you can head out to one of the restaurants for a bite.

Load shedding is an unfortunate reality for the country that affects 80% of the population.

Prior to your stay, we require you to complete a pre-arrival form and sign & agree to our rental conditions.

Where you’ll be

Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

A gem on the False Bay coastline, Kalk Bay is known for its raw beauty, interesting shops, vast selection of restaurants and stunning views. You could easily spend a full day in this little neighbourhood and still not be able to experience it all! Here’s a guide on what to do and where to go in Kalk Bay.

Kalk Bay is a wonderful historical town that has been a place to visit since the 1800s. Visit the museums, harbor, walk the boardwalk from Kalk Bay to Muizenberg and swim in the many tidal pools along this stretch.

Muizenberg know as ”Muizies” offers great family fun and learning to surf has become the most popular thing to do on this jam-packed beachfront. On the beachfront there are some great surf shops where you can rent paddleboards and surf boards as well as buy any beach goers necessities.
