This federation timber cottage originally named Claremont was built c.1924 by the Payne family and has been lovingly restored by Pamela and her late mother Opal.
You will find it nestled in the green hills of Beautiful Upper Lansdowne at the foot of the Lansdowne Escarpment, 4 hours drive north from Sydney.

The space
Located on a 160 acre working farm and borders Coorabakh National Park in the rural community of Upper Lansdowne.
The property is home to native wildlife with a diverse range in species of bird, reptiles, mammals and insects. There are also domestic farm animals kept on the property.
Blue Hills Cottage offers an ideal location for naturalists, artists and photographers, bird watchers, bush walkers and horse riders and for those simply wishing to switch off from the hectic pace of city life.

Blue Hills Cottage is fully furnished and is the perfect location for couples and small families to stay while exploring the natural beauty that this unique location and surrounding valley has to offer.

Blue Hills Cottage is a great location for guests wanting to work remotely. The valley has reasonable Telstra mobile phone coverage and we offer free WI-Fi for our guests.

Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed, two wardrobes, bedside chests and lamps and mirrored dresser.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed, bedside lamps a dresser and robe. Both beds fitted with electric blankets during Winter.
All bedlinen, blankets, doonas, pillows, towels etc are provided by your Host.

A spare room is located outside, originally part of the internal veranda with 1 single bed. A ceiling fan and air cooling unit is not available in this room.

The bathroom is basic but adequate, with hand basin, toilet, shower unit and 2 original colonial storage cupboards.

The lounge room is cosy and furnished with period pieces.
For your entertainment there is a small book library located in the sitting room and a flat screen tv in the lounge area with Vast Satelite connection so reception is excellent.

There is a traditional wood fire heater in a corner of the lounge area providing cosy winter warmth. 2 electric oil heaters also available if required. The lounge area and 2 bedrooms all have 3 speed ceiling fans plus cool cycle air cooling units are installed in both bedrooms for Summer comfort.

The kitchenette although basic, is equipped with tea, coffee, milk, oil and paper towels for cleaning the barbeque, an electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, microwave, large stainless steel electric frying pan, jaffle sandwich maker, crockpot, crockery, glassware, cutlery, various kitchen utensils and pots.

There are 3 large outside verandahs with seating, all offering a different view of the garden and wider property.

A Webber Kettle gas barbeque and dual burner stove-top are located on the internal verandah for guests to use.
