The space
More than 80 years ago, the Byron hinterland was dairy farming country. The ‘Byron Dairy Bales’ is the original structure used to milk cows.

After 11 years living on the property, the owners lovingly restored the ‘Byron Dairy Bales’ in 2021 so that they could share the beauty and peace of this location with fellow travellers.

The property is high on the ridge, faces north-east, and has a calming ambience that’s rather special. We hope you love it as much as we do.

The ‘Byron Dairy Bales’ is located on the beautiful Coorabell ridge, and is well regarded for its hinterland views, stunning sunrises and sunsets.

Coorabell is centrally located, and only 10 minutes from hinterland towns Bangalow, Mullumbimby and Federal. Cafes, restaurants and many interesting stores are located in these towns.

A further 5 minutes or so and you land in Byron Bay. The lighthouse is the most easterly point in Australia and its beaches magic.

Brunswick Heads is another great town to visit offering both river and beach options. It's 20 minutes drive from the ‘Byron Dairy Bales’. Lennox Head is 30 minutes drive and is another beautiful coastal beach and town.

Travelling from Ballina Airport will take you only 30 minutes drive or 50 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport.
