Castillo Landing is a cozy, family-fun & dog friendly place to land, stay & play a while. Located on a spacious, gated property in the woods, & central to all the awesome local attractions.
Enjoy the surrounding nature of the property by sipping coffee on the deck, watching your pooches explore the dog walk area, grilling or playing yard games in the back, or cozied-up inside next to the wood-burning fireplace, relaxing in the jetted spa-bath or having some family fun in the game room!
The space
*CLEANLINESS*
We take extra care & precaution by ensuring the cabin is cleaned to high standards with CDC approved cleaning products which protect the house & our guests by killing bacteria & viruses for an additional 24 hours after use.

*THE YARD*
The Castillo Landing Cabin resides on a spacious & gated property nestled among the tall, beautiful, pine trees of Big Bear. The enclosed property provides peace of mind for kids & pets & has lots of outdoor space for your enjoyment, including:
- A large front yard for the kids to explore & play
- A nice little sitting deck off the side to enjoy a cup of coffee & watch the squirrels or read a book
- A separate dog play area with people seating, a dog house, & a fire hydrant for the pooches in the back.
- And an enclosed (separate) backyard to enjoy grilling, playing some yard games, hanging out & making memories!
(1 tank of propane is included, additional tanks are available for a fee upon request.)
*INSIDE*
This is a two-story home, with 3 bedrooms & 1 full, newly remodeled bathroom upstairs. Two upstairs bedrooms include queen sized beds & the third includes a full.
Downstairs we have an open concept kitchen, living & dining area, with a cute & cozy breakfast nook off the kitchen leading to the backyard, with a built-in coffee station & dog fueling station. On the reverse side of the kitchen we have a laundry space with a washer & dryer free to use, 1 full bathroom with a jetted spa-bath & separate shower & a even a game room! The game room includes a pull-out sofa with a queen mattress for additional sleeping space.
*TECHNOLOGY & ENTERTAINMENT*
High speed WiFi access is provided (200 mbps / download) along with lots of plugs & USB ports for charging devices.
Brand new Smart TVs are located in all bedrooms upstairs, the living room & the game room & all come equip with Amazon Firesticks. Netflix and Disney+ are included. Additional apps for sports & entertainment are provided, but must be signed into.
Our indoor game room includes a foosball table, 2 retro arcade games, and plenty of board games, card games & puzzles for your entertainment needs, along with a number of outdoor yard games, and a few toys for the little kiddos as well!
*ADDITIONAL AMENITIES PROVIDED*
- Linens, including pillows & blankets, towels & bath mats are all cleaned fresh & provided.
- Both bathrooms come with all of the necessities, including: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, lotion & toilet paper & 1 hair dryer for both bathrooms.
- Kitchen appliances include an oven, stove, microwave & dishwasher for your convenience.
- Other small kitchen appliances provided include: a toaster overn, a Keruig, a blender & a hand mixer.
- The kitchen also comes stocked with an array of pots & pans, bakeware, silverware, dish-ware, glassware, utensils & tools, along with a few kid-friendly items as well.
- We love to use this space quite often too, so we leave a few dry ingredients as well, including various spices & cooking oils, which you can help yourself to, if needed.
- Lastly, the washer & dryer is available for use & laundry detergent & dryer sheets are provided.
*HEATING & COOLING*
Like most homes here in Big Bear, there is NO central air conditioning, but the provided ceiling & floor fans help keep things cool & comfortable in the warmer summer months.
Central heating IS available though, via a Nest thermostat. The thermostat may be monitored by the host to ensure temperatures do not dip below a certain threshold.
Lastly, all guests booking a stay in the winter should anticipate the possibility of snow chain requirements making it necessary to travel to Big Bear, and should check the forecast & road conditions before heading up!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property, minus the garage. 2 parking spots are provided & accessible outside (a 3rd spot is available inside the gate on uneven pavement and can be difficult to access during the snow season)
Other things to note
Pet Rules:
We are happy to offer dog friendly accommodations but there are a few rules we ask you to follow to keep our house in great condition for all guests.
1. You must pick up after your pet before checking out. Our housekeeper will charge a $50 fine if they have to pick up after your pets.
2. We have a 3 dogs maximum (no cats or other animals-no exceptions)
3. Dogs cannot be left unattended inside the cabin or in the backyard at any time.
4. Dogs must be house trained and we ask that you do not allow them on the furniture.
