Kombi Kamp is your truly unique accommodation experience. Indulge your inner 70’s wild child as you sleep in your very own 1975 VW Kombi - Frida - alongside the creek on our 80 acre farm in the beautiful Huon Valley.

This off grid campsite is the perfect getaway for a couple seeking a very different, and very memorable, experience..! Looking for something extra special? Request Frida to be themed especially for your stay – boho ivory, mandala magic or flower power. The choice is yours..!

The space
Sleep in the kombi which is perfectly positioned next to a bubbling mountain stream. Enjoy the cooler Tassie nights around the open fire pit or next to the pot belly stove in the kitchen hut. Freshen up with a ‘nudie run’ in one of the private waterholes or enjoy a warm outdoor shower if the weather is a little cooler.

Sleeping
Frida offers a full size comfortable double bed complete with mattress topper, linen, extra blankets and towels. When the weather is fine, open the tailgate and enjoy sleeping with the best view ever – one million star accommodation. Mosquito mesh window covers are available should they be needed.

Kitchen & Food
The deck off the kitchen hut offers a superb spot to sit with a glass of wine as you spot our local platypus family, or select a game to play from the ‘treasure chest’. The hut is stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils you will need to cook up a camp feast – whether on the open fire pit, the gas bbq or using the butane stove. The kitchen also offers a basic pantry, including locally roasted coffee, and a herb garden. Breakfast provisions including farm fresh eggs, local bakery bread, milk and jam are also provided for your stay. A Waeco fridge is provided to keep your provisions cold.

The kitchen hut also offers a cosy sheltered spot – perfect for the notoriously changeable Tassie weather. Snuggle up in front of the pot belly, boil the kettle on the stove or perhaps warm some cider.

Facilities
The toilet is an eco-friendly dry composting model. The solar powered fan ensures minimal odour and it is very clean and simple to use.
The outdoor shower is your perfect zen space, surrounded by tree ferns and with an open side view of the creek. Hot water is provided by a gas powered camping unit.

There are numerous waterholes along the creek which offer the perfect swimming spot. Relax creekside with a good book, admire the tall blackwood trees, spot some of the abundant wildlife or perhaps meet the Clydesdale horses if they are in a nearby paddock.

The Kamp is situated on an 80 acre farm in a peaceful valley. Huonville is a convenient 8 minute drive away. The town offers a 7 day a week Woolworths, pharmacy and post office as well as other shops, cafes and bakeries.

A slightly longer 15 minute drive will take you to the village of Cygnet. This trendy little town has monthly markets, some great produce and a lovely local vibe.
