This is a one bedroom apartment that is not in an apartment complex. It is at the rear of a house in a quite cul-de-sac in the heart of Abbotsford. It is fully secure, modern, private with great access to the Yarra River, walking and bike trails, cafes, sporting venues, shopping and art precincts and some of Melbourne's best restaurants.

The space
This modern, well-appointed and comfortable one bedroom apartment comprises two levels, the first of which includes a generous living area, a modern kitchen (electric stove and oven, dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer, meals table which seats six people and high chair). The second level comprises one generous sized bedroom furnished with a king-sized bed and couch. The en-suite bathroom includes a double wash basin, shower and washing machine. The apartment is quiet. There is good light, good privacy and WiFi. The clothes dryer for guests use is located in the garage opposite the apartment entry door.

Guest access
The apartment is fully self-contained with access via a wide well lit lane through a secure remote-controlled private garage door and a pin code entry door inside the garage. It is architecturally designed and built over two levels above the secure garage.
It is at the rear of the our home and is entirely separate. The garage also leads into our private courtyard and the main house. (As the pets use the courtyard it is not available to guests)
We live in the main house together with our friendly dog Manny, together with Bexley and Jimmie our cats.

Other things to note
The apartment is very private - you can have minimal contact with the host should you choose to do so!

The apartment is located about 3 km from Melbourne’s CBD in one of its oldest and most intriguing suburbs. When you stay here it’s like you are on the cusp of two worlds; on the one side you are metres from the Melbourne’s picturesque Yarra River and its tranquil, tree-laden surrounding parklands and bike riding / walking trails. And on the other are bustling character-laden streets filled with charming cottages and intriguing alleyways, cafes bursting with Melbourne’s famously good coffee, pubs and restaurants and unique furniture and clothing outlets. Other great restaurant, shopping and artistic precincts and sight-seeing attractions are within easy walking or push bike riding distance, including Brunswick Street Fitzroy, Smith Street Collingwood, The Abbotsford Convent, Collingwood Children’s Farm, Victoria Street Richmond, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Rod Laver Arena.
