Casa Akasha is a beautiful small guest house, with just three independent units on the property and a shared pool, only two blocks away from the beautiful lagoon and a short walk to the center and the market.
The treehouse cabaña is our gem: completely hidden by trees, it features a private terrace and a private outdoor tub where you can relax on a warm night while watching the stars. A comfortable mattress, a powerful ceiling fan and a minifridge in the room will ensure great rest and comfort.

The space
Casa Akasha has the perfect location to stay in Bacalar: a five-minute walk
to the best public spot of the lagoon, a ten-minute walk to the market and centre.
The treehouse cabaña is the most secluded and private spot in Casa Akasha.
It is the only unit situated on the first floor and it is completely immersed in the shadow of beautiful old trees. One of these trees is a Ceiba, the Mayan sacred tree. You have a private terrace and outdoor wooden path which you can use to read and relax when you need shadow and a break from a day in the lagoon. The terrace also has a lovely private tub (a tiny pool) where you can refresh, have a drink and watch the stars at night.
The room has a comfortable queen mattress, a powerful fan, a minimalistic closet, a mini fridge, glasses, a coffee machine, cups and a spacious bathroom with hot water.

Where you’ll be

Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico

It’s a quiet and friendly area, just two blocks from the lagoon and a few blocks from the center and the market. You can find little restaurantes and coffee places in the neighborhood, little shops to buy basics and we also have a great Arts Centre quite near, where you can listen to live music, watch performances and see exhibitions which change every month.
