Relax with family or friends at this peaceful home away from home. Perched high on a hill with breathtaking views of the picturesque rural town of Branxholm. The Dog House offers multiple spaces to escape or connect: the expansive deck, cosy living room, kitchen with wood heater, bike workshop, sunken fire-pit, veggie/herb patches or the super comfy bedrooms...this is a place with something and someplace for everyone. Whilst perfectly sized for a group of 4-6 she can accomodate 8 in total.

The space
Whilst compact in floor size, our little home on the hill imposes itself on the landscape, with a great sense of space, multiple indoor/outdoor entertaining areas, including an enormous sunset deck that will take your breath away. This is a home for all seasons that we have had the honour of restoring and enhancing, tapping into our love of renovation and repurposing; creating spaces to retreat to that embrace nature and community. As our home away from home, 'The Dog House' is set up for comfort, to be functional...and most importantly, to be enjoyed. We have loved creating it with our future guests in mind.

Access to Derby is available by bike (trail head from Branxholm to Derby starts just a stone throw from The Dog House) or is a quick 5 minute drive by car. Enjoy the pub, the public pool, the coffee shops, restaurants and IGA without the hustle and bustle of the crowds.
