This is a unique property at the shores of lake Tarnita, 30 km out of Cluj-Napoca in the Western Carpathians. The chalet welcomes families with children or a group of friends to relax, have a barbecue, swim, trek or do a bike tour around the hills.

The space
This authentic mountain cottage is located on a 1100 m² hillside property with a wide waterfront. The open ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table (which can be put out on the spacious 25 m² terrace) and hosts the living room with a fold-out couch and two armchairs. A spiral staircase leads to the bedroom with a king-sized bed, two mattresses (for children or extra guests) and large windows for a beautiful lake view. Ten steps from the cottage, there is a small hut for the shower and the toilet.

The property is located at the end of a private weekend cottage resort, next to the lake, so it is a rather quiet place. The surrounding wooded hills (some over 1000 m high) are great for hiking and mountain-biking (we can load you several tracks onto your GPS), traditional mountain villages are within reach. With the kayak you can explore the whole lake, swimming spots are found in many bays. If the summer is rainy, we can recommend you many places to search for mushrooms. On a hike to the opposite Lucaci Rock the landscape opens up and you can enjoy spectacular views on the lake, Cluj and the higher ridges of Marisel.
The nearest shop is 10 km away down the valley in Somesul Rece.
