Enjoy the unique treehouses built by Pete Nelson, the master treehouse builder! Located on the VA Creeper Trail and South Holston Lake, the treehouse is a marvelous opportunity to surround yourself in nature, high up in the Appalachian Mountains. This two story treehouse has all necessities such as electricity, running water, and cell phone booster. It has one bedroom, a spacious bathroom with shower, two balconies: one on the second & one of the first floor, a kitchenette and living room!

Other things to note
Please note that there is no Wifi or TV in the treehouse, however we have installed a cell phone signal booster to help you stay connected. There is no AC in the treehouse but it usually stays cool being tucked away in the shade of the woods. We have multiple ceiling fans for cooling and a fire place to keep the place warm in cold weather.

The treehouse is located on a 104 acre forested farm along the South Fork of the Holston River and the Virginia Creeper Trail. It is a rural area of mostly farms, forest and rivers, however, the area is used frequently by hikers, bicyclists, fishermen, and boaters along the Creeper Trail and river.

I manage a Tap Room for a local craft cider company and manage our family property. I am married, and my wife, Alena, helps me co-host as well. When we are not working, we like to be outdoors. I moved to Colorado in 2003 to take advantage of the mountains and access to the west, but returned to Virginia in 2020 to be closer to home and help take care of the Treehouse. As a guest, I like to travel, so when I am on the road, it is mostly to be out and about. I like to experience life outside, not inside an apartment or house.
