Apartment in the historic centre of Sant'Antioco with a terrace of 30 squared meters where you can have dinner under the moon.
What people like about my apartment: the old furniture, the way I decorated the house and especially the terrace.
What people like less: the bedroom with wooden floor faces the street so you can hear the cars sometimes, but luckily the street is one way only. Moreover the other bedroom is quiet.

The space

Apartment in the historic centre of Sant'Antioco, the apartment is composed by a big double bedroom, a smaller internal double bedroom whose window brings to the living room, a bathroom with shower, a kitchen with living room and a big terrace where you can have dinner and cook your food in the barbecue.

In walking distance you can find the museum, the ancient church with catacombs and all the archeological sites of the town, the archeological area is literally behind the corner! On Friday nights there are tours of this area that start around 9,00 pm (you buy the tickets at the ethnographic museum), I think this area is very charming especially at night so I highly recommend this tour. The nearest beach is 6 km away, but the island is not so big so every beach is near, on the south east and north west of the island there are sandy beaches and on the south west there are rocks, it is very nice going snorkeling there, and the rocks are very smooth becuse of the winter waves!

Every monday and thursday around 11,30 in the morning Mr. Carmelo stops his van right in front of the door and sells fresh fruit and vegetables that come from the Villacidro area and are very delicious.

During the summer you con enjoy the beutiful sea and many festivals, (at the end of August and beginning of September there are some famous jazz and blues festivals in towns nearby).
In spring and autumn you can go hiking and trekking and discover the beautiful scenery and the archeological sites hidden in the countryside.
Two weeks after Easter on Monday there is the festival of the town.
During the winter it is the right place if you want to relax, discover the archeological spots of the island and stay away from crowded places. The winter here is cold but sunny, so if you come from northern Europe you can have a break from the dark even during winter.
This house is also a good base for going kite surfing in Punta Trettu.

I would recommend coming to Sant'Antioco in June and September, this months are the best because you can enjoy the beautiful beaches when they are almost empty, it is so peaceful and relaxing. The hot weather usually lasts until the end of October. I also like winter in my island, it is the most peaceful moment of the year and the sun shines also during cold days!

This house was built at the end of 1800 by my grand grand grand parents and it was also my grandmother's house. I didn't like this house when I was younger, but while I was doing restoration jobs I started to see the charme of it. The old pieces of furniture, the old pavements......every single piece of this house tells a story about a time we come from, but that can be experienced only through stories told by elder people.

Guest access

You can use the whole house and everything is inside.

Interaction with guests

We will meet when you arrive and I'll give you the keys and show you the house, if you need anything during your stay you can call me any time!

Other things to note

The bedroom that faces the street can be noisy in the morning when cars start to circulate, but luckily the road is one way, if you find it too noisy you can use the other bedroom which is very silent instead.

Silence after 10 pm is very important, we have a good relationship with neighbours and it is very important for us to keep it. :)

For what concerns the garbage I leave the calendar in the kitchen. They collect the garbage door by door so it is very important to divide everything in the correct way. if you forget to leave the garbage outside the gate on the right day it does not matter, but be very careful to divide plastic, glass and aluminium (together), paper, organic.

Please don't throw anything in the toilette except for toilette paper, that can lead to very unpleasant situations for you!:)

Apart for this rules feel free to use everything you want in the house, I hope you will feel at home!

Eugenia's place is great. Spacious with two double room. A terrasse. The house is the cooperated with a very fine taste, I felt it quite authentic. All I need was supplied , even things I wouldn't ask like things you might need for the beach. Eugenia is lovely and very helpful.the location is perfect too for beaches(between 2 to 15km the farthest) and really many good restaurants in Sant'Antioco. I recommend definitely this awesome place.

Reading all the reviews, it is safe to say that we had high expectations to both the apartment and to our host Eugenia – neither failed. Ever since we booked our stay, Eugenia has been very quick to respond to any questions we have had, and has been very helpful with suggestions and researching any inquires that we had. During our stay, she also kept us informed via text on anything exciting or interesting happening in town – without us even asking here to. She is such a warm, caring, inviting and helpful host! Our experience was that she was very invested in us having the best time possible. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! It was perfect – really. As for the apartment, it is situated in the quaint little town of Sant'Antioco, and the location of it was perfect. With everything you need within walking distance, and situated between two of the best kite spots in Sardinia, it is safe to say that at least all of our needs were met. There are also, several great restaurants in town, ensuring that you can indulge in the excellent Sardinian cuisine. Further, the people are so friendly and helpful! We already miss the pizza-man always standing outside of his restaurant at night before the customers came, the sweet woman working at the small café at the piazza, the super friendly and helpful German woman working at the little restaurant close to the piazza and last but definitely not least our favorite woman working at the bakery who every day tried to teach us some Italian. We are so grateful for the time we spent in this little paradise, and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much, Eugenia!

Eugenia is a great host and really did everything possible to make our stay as nice as possible and even supplied beach towels on request without hesitation. Eugenia offered us lots of helpful tips on where to eat, visit and most importantly beaches to swim - all of which were excellent recommendations, she knows the place very well and even included guides, leaflets and maps for local amenities. The apartment is within in a short walk (10 mins) from the centre of San't Antioco and all the restaurants, bars, marina and shops, and about 15-20 mins drive to the nice beaches of Coaquaddus and Maladroxia, and about 15 minutes from Calasetta to catch ferries to the smaller San Pietro Island (well worth a visit). The bridge to the main land is 10 mins drive away and is very easily accessible (make sure you look out for Flamingos on the way at the Saline). Really good base to see the island and access the main island. The apartment was very clean, had a good kitchen, large double bedroom with a French balcony onto the main road (which got noisy at points, but not too bad at all) and the star is the large sunny terrace at the back, overlooking gardens, supplied with a bbq and seating, which was great to relax on. Eugenia even supplied us with a few bits like olive oil, toiletries to get us started! We will no doubt be back - really good value and really comfortable stay - great host too!

I love houses that have a story to tell. My houses are very special for me and I like sharing their atmosphere by hosting people that will have a nice memory of their holiday and will keep my places alive for a while.

I like antiques, swimming in the sea, fireplaces and cats.
