The space
Margaret River is located on Wadandi Boodja (Country). The Wadandi are one of the fourteen language groups of the Noongar peoples, the traditional custodians of the south-west of Western Australia. We acknowledge with deep respect and gratitude the Wadandi people as the Traditional Owners of this land, who cared for it as the sole inhabitants for over 45,000 years before the arrival of British settlers at Augusta in 1830. Known to the Wadandi as Wooditchup, this area holds great spiritual and cultural significance. In the Nyitting (Dreaming), it is told that the river was created by the magic man Wooditch.
Welcome to Wooditchup Nyitting - a place of rest, reflection, and renewal by the wonderous Margaret River. Here, you can unwind in comfort and reconnect with the timeless energy of an ancient river and bush landscape.
Tucked away amidst the Australian bush, this chalet offers laid-back peace and serenity. You'll be charmed by this stylish and relaxing chalet, adorned with comfortable high-quality furnishings and featuring contemporary original artworks and photography by local artists.
Drift off to sleep surrounded by the soothing sounds of birds, crickets, and frogs, and wake to soft light filtering through the trees. Enjoy a comfortable queen-sized bed in the main bedroom, with functional (and fun) built-in-bunks in the bedroom next door for kids or adult guests alike. Both bedrooms open onto a shared balcony through large sliding doors, framing tranquil views of native bushland. It’s a peaceful, restorative setting where ring neck parrots, kookaburras, and other local wildlife visitors often drop by to say hello.
A well-equipped kitchen will satisfy even the fussiest cook, complete with quality appliances, an oversized fridge, and everything you need to create and share memorable meals. A Sonos speaker in the kitchen allows guests to enjoy their favourite music whilst cooking and dining. The sunny dining area offers a comfortable and intimate space to gather and enjoy time together. Large north-facing sliding doors open from the kitchen/dining area onto a shaded but sunlit terrace with a BBQ and casual outdoor dining area - perfect for relaxed meals surrounded by nature.
A functional and well-appointed bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and large washing machine and dryer, along with ample bath and beach towels, quality soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and other thoughtful amenities. A large east-facing frosted glass sliding door opens to an outdoor area with a clothesline - perfect for drying beach towels and wetsuits after a day in the surf.
In the cooler months, unwind to your favourite music on the Sonos sound system as you relax beside the crackling fire on the oversized, luxe sofa, glass of Margaret River Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon in hand.
The downstairs living area opens through large sliding glass doors onto a front terrace framed by native gardens and bushland views. A teak dining table and various seating options creates the perfect setting for long lunches or late-afternoon drinks in the fresh air.
When the weather warms, make the most of three shaded outdoor areas, including a second-floor balcony with a comfortable lounge - perfect for your morning coffee as you take in the tranquil bush views and the cheerful chatter of native parrots and kookaburras.
The property is equipped for year-round comfort, featuring two split-system air conditioners for heating and cooling, a built-in wood fireplace in the living room, and ceiling fans in both bedrooms. Portable oil and electric heaters are also provided, allowing guests to fine-tune the temperature to their liking for a perfectly comfortable stay in any season.
This chalet’s prime location offers the perfect base for exploring everything Margaret River has to offer. Just 250 metres from the front door, a tranquil bush trail leads directly to the banks of the Margaret River - ideal for swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding.

Continue just a few minutes further to the much-loved Margaret River Bakery on the main street (Bussell Highway) - both excellent coffee stops.
The Margaret River Brewhouse is also walking distance nearby, perfect for a local ale, relaxed family meal, or lazy afternoon in its large garden and kids’ play area. Adventure seekers can easily access the region’s renowned mountain-bike trails and skate park directly from the property.

For those seeking fine food and wine, nearby highlights include Leeuwin Estate, Xanadu, and Voyager Estate, while local dining favourites such as Morries, Mykis, and the Margaret River Tuck Shop are all close at hand.

Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE REGARDING TV:
In our cosy chalet, we've created space for both kids and adults to unwind. The bunkroom features a Samsung smart TV with internet access for guest’s to login to streaming services like Netflix and YouTube. This allows kids to enjoy their favorite shows while adults can relax by the open fire and enjoy the serene bush view in the living room.
We've intentionally designed our chalet to encourage relaxation and connection, so you won't find a TV in the living room. Instead, we hope you can 'switch off', enjoy one another's company and appreciate the natural surroundings, cozy fire, an extensive book collection, and a high-quality Sonos sound system with speakers throughout the chalet for your music enjoyment.
You’re welcome to move the TV around the chalet to use it in other rooms, but please return it to its original position in the bunk room before you check out.
INFO FOR “PET PARENTS :)
The chalet is situated within native bushland in a shared complex with common outdoor space (common property). A by-law of use of the complex is that all pets must be on leads when outside the building and on the common property. This property is unsuitable for larger pets, for pets that don't like being on a lead, and for pets requiring a fenced yard. Smaller and mid sized pets, such as your well and truly house-trained fur baby, who of course won't jump, scratch, or sit on beds/furniture, are welcome.
As mentioned already and given the shared native bush land setting and the abundance of wildlife on the property, pets must remain on a leash outside the building to safeguard the native animals and show consideration for neighbors and any neighboring small children who may happen be using the shared spaces. This is a by law of the property. Please note that there is no fenced, secure outdoor area for pets at this property.
Barking dogs, regardless of size, are not appropriate due to the potential for noise disturbance to neighboring guests within the complex. If you plan to bring your pet, kindly ensure you provide your own pet bedding, food bowls, and other necessities, as these are not supplied. Additionally, please refrain from allowing your pet on the couch or beds, as pet hair can cause allergies and create difficulties for cleaning. Your cooperation and respect are greatly appreciated!
