Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
The pod was designed by Troppo Architects and built by Oscar Builders . In recognition of the thought, design approach and build quality, the Klein Pod has been furnished sparsely but with quality and purposeful use in mind.
The single unit has a small kitchenette, lounge area, queen bed and combustion heater. Out on the deck you can relax on the day bed. The shower is outside behind a rustic privacy screen.

The space
Staying at the Klein Pod enables the rhythm of the tides to sooth the soul and enable us all to draw in the simple beauty of our surroundings. The sea view and the ever-changing patterns in the sand will keep you still and entranced as you seek to relax and watch nature reveal itself.

The Klein Pod is a neat little haven about 2 km south of Stansbury (approx. 21/4 hours from Adelaide) with lovely views through Pitts Cutting to the spit at Stansbury. At low tide you can see the oyster beds come out of the water, as the local oyster farmers grow this great resource.

The block of land that the Pod is situated on was in the recent past cleared for cropping or grazing but over the last decades through planting and self-seeding, there are now some nice mallee gums that provide a haven for the birds. For this we must be thankful to Barry, the previous land owner, who had the foresight to undertake the planting.

The beach is a 250 metre walk down through Pitts Cutting. The Walk the Yorke track also passes through Pitts Cutting and passes the Pod.

There is a friendly dog on site (Banjo), who may come down to the pod for a visit.

Guest access
The Klein Pod has its own off road parking, and is fenced.

Also there are 3 steps at the front of the Pod to be climbed to gain access.

Please note ,the Pod is on rain water, so please take care and use responsibly.

The Klein Pod is an ideal getaway for two adults . The Pod is not baby proofed and there are no specific provisions to cater for infants and children.

Stansbury is a small town located in the southern east coast of Yorke Peninsula. Stansbury is an ideal destination for holidays, fishing, or just relaxing the hours away. The safe beach and calm waters are ideal for swimming, with windsurfing and kite surfing further out along the spit.

Dolphins and sea lions can be seen frolicking in the water or resting after gorging on fish.

A 6.3km coastal walking trail from Pitts Cutting to the jetty offers great views across the Gulf St Vincent. During winter and spring, native vegetation can be seen in full bloom along the cliff top walk.
The Klein Pod sits along side the Walk The Yorke walking trail.
