Come and relax at our peaceful, self contained home, nestled amongst beautiful rain forests and lush macadamia's.
Awake to incredible birdsong.
Experience, nearby, scrumptious restaurants and pubs, beach walks & golf. Enjoy local produce from the markets of Byron Bay, Ballina and Lennox Head, all just a short drive away.
Our great little space is a private, one bedroom self contained unit, seperate from our property. In the spacious bedroom there is a comfy queen bed and the living space has a double sofa bed. The bathroom is a comfortable size with the obvious loo, basin and shower. You'll find plenty of wardrobe and drawer space in the bedroom and lots of empty cupboard space in the kitchen/living area. There is a bookshelf filled with books and useful local brochures for you to borrow whilst staying. The kitchen is well equipped, despite there being no conventional oven, however, there is everything else you could need including a mini oven, microwave, electric wok and grill, a small gas ring, toaster, kettle and plenty of equipment, enough to create a slap up roast if you so wish!
Inside, you will also find a table and chairs to eat at or you may like to enjoy breakfast or a sunset meal at either the set outside your door or down in the garden at the beautiful bench my husband has made in memory of my father who has recently passed away.
We are always open to ideas on how to make our guests stay more pleasurable!!
Please note that at present, there is no wifi (Some people have managed to pick it up) & mobile reception can have a tendency to drop out, depending on which network you are with. Telstra appears to be the best provider here.
Guests may park right outside their accommodation. There is just one little step up and in.
The stunning area of Wenga Drive is hilly, great if you want a nice energising stroll in the morning to wake you up!
We are surrounded by beautiful gardens and a macadamia farm. There are no fences therefore allowing the wallabies, echidnas and other interesting wildlife to bounce about all over the place.
We are very respectful towards our wonderful and friendly neighbours and ask that you respect their privacy.
The gardens beyond our house do not belong to us and the owner of the dam has asked to remind our guests that this place is out of bounds.
Interaction with guests
We look forward to meeting new people and sharing our interest in this amazing bit of the world which we are lucky to live in.
Our small family will be coming and going and will leave you in peace if you so wish.
We will endeavour to meet you on your arrival or provide details of where to collect your key.
Keep in touch via Airbnb or by phone prior to you arrival and we will send detailed instructions on how to find us.
Other things to note
Our water is rain water, which is lovely, clean and fresh, however, we do recommend using the water filter in the fridge to make it even sweeter!!
We are on a septic system here, so please only flush organic waste down the loo and sink. No harsh chemicals, greasy stuff or foreign objects please!!
There is no washing machine, but if you need some washing done, please just ask and I am happy to pop it in our machine. There is a covered clothes line behind the accomadation.
Please read through the following rules .
We ask that you leave our place as you find it.
If there is something missing or broken, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can rectify the problem.
Important! - There are no fences here, to allow the wildlife to roam.So please respect our neighbours privacy and do not walk through their properties. The beautiful dam is not ours, it is great to look at, but out of bounds, I am afraid!
We are on a septic system here, so please do not throw anything but toilet paper down the loo and be careful what you put down the sink, thank you.
We ask that you kindly turn off all electrical when not in use or when you leave.
Unfortunately, despite having 2 labradoodle pups of our own, we do not have an outside enclosed area for your dogs by the accommodation.
This is a no smoking property.
And above all else, Relax, Enjoy and have fun!
It's me, Sarah-Ania here.
Wife of Rob and Mum to Frazer (the other one with the moustache in the profile pic) and the gorgeous Izzy.
We are a little english family loving our life here in The Northern Rivers of New South Wales.
We decided it was too good to keep to ourselves and thought we might share it with you.
When we are not being busy with our many jobs or study, we love to socialise, beach walk with the pups, listen to music, snooze to a good movie (tell me you haven't done that!) and take in the views with a long chilled drink.
When we do get to travel it is usually back to Old Blighty, as Izzy did recently, however, Frazer travelled to Japan last year and Rob went off to Las Vegas for his brothers 50th.
Life is to be lived, enjoy every moment! (And don't forget to take photo's because, if like me, they can come in very handy in the future for reminiscing!)
