I enjoy different cultures, meeting new people, find out about the little hidden gems in their area, unique experiences. Still am enjoying the magic British Columbia especially has to offer; so am hosting here the way I like to experience/share when I travel. It is so rewarding when guests leave you flowers, gifts and thank you notes - maybe I'm doing something right.
I also have a need for creating, renovating, eco building (straw bale experiences, solar power), music, art, photography, designing, duplicate bridge.
I love the sunshine, but not being too hot, and being outdoors.
Also am living in Ajijic on Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico in the winter and I host there also.
German is my first language (born and mostly educated there - civil eng.), a little bit of French and I get by with Spanish. Came to Canada to see Expo in Montreal (100 years of Canada, although I also went to the one in 1986 in Vancouver).
