Our 5 Bedroom Retreat, nestled in the leafy hills overlooking Healesville, Yarra Valley, offers accommodation for up to 11 guests (10 Adults). Relax and enjoy the magnificent Mountain views from the lounge and back decking area. The Retreat property comprises native bushland and wildlife surrounded by botanical gardens. Healesville Garden Retreat is peaceful and yet only minutes to great restaurants, and Yarra Valley Wineries.

The Retreat accommodates 11 guests (10 Adults) and is perfect for a large group of friends, is perfect for families, or a small business retreat with a difference.

Other things to note
WE DO NOT ALLOW MORE THAN 11 GUESTS AT THIS PROPERTY. Our house is situated in a high conservation area. Please do not book this house if you are thinking of inviting more guests than is specified (11) . Our council only allows a permit for 11 guests maximum. If there are more than 11 guests here, you will be asked to leave. We can however recommend many lovely parks and bbq areas around Healesville for you to host a larger group for a get together.

There are several houses on this large property. Car-parking for the Retreat is on the asphalt driveway for approx 5-6 cars. This driveway is exclusive to the Retreat guests. No-one else uses it. There is also a carpark for EXTRA cars that don’t fit (max 2 or 3). Other cars from the other houses use the large carpark area also, so please allow 2 or 3 car spaces for their cars.

We also live in a house on the property but leave you in complete privacy to make yourselves at home and have a great time. We do not worry about noise that is not excessive. We are available if needed but respect your space and leave you in peace. Make yourselves at home during your stay.

A few things you will need to know whilst staying at the Retreat.
We are an eco-friendly property, trying to do our bit for the environment by running on Solar Panels, Batteries, and Rainwater in tanks and we have a Septic Sewerage System. Please be aware of your electricity and water usage during your stay.

ELECTRICITY
Please be mindful about electricity usage. If you turn everything on at once, then the power will trip out and shut off. The supply cannot handle ALL appliances, lights, split systems etc all being on at the same time. Be mindful if you are not using something, turn it off eg lights left on in rooms that are not being used, spotlights left on outside with no-one being outside, appliances being left on for no reason.

WATER SUPPLY
The Retreat water supply is rainwater which is also filtered.
Our oversized bath was installed many years ago when the property water supply was on mains water (probably like yours is). We are no longer connected to mains water but are supplied by our own tanks (rainwater).
We therefore ask you to be mindful of this and not fill the bath, but to have shallow baths if needed.
It is important to please keep showers short and sweet. If everyone takes long showers, one after the other, the smaller supply tank at the Retreat doesn’t have time to refill quickly enough, then the small tank runs out, trips off the water pump, and supply of water from our larger tanks on the property is shut off to the main house (The Retreat).
We have plenty of water but cannot keep up with high volumes of long showers all at once, one after the other.
