The space
Welcome to the Izu Beach House, a spacious traditional Japanese retreat located in the heart of beautiful Nishi-Izu. Combining authentic Japanese charm with modern comfort, the house offers the perfect base for exploring one of Japan’s most scenic coastal regions.

The upstairs guest accommodation features three traditional tatami rooms and can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests. Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 3 can each accommodate up to three futons, while Bedroom 2 accommodates up to two futons. Large windows provide natural light and offer views of the ocean from the upper floor, creating a relaxing atmosphere throughout your stay.

One of the things guests appreciate most is the property’s exceptional location. The beach, local restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, and public transportation are all within easy walking distance. A bus stop is located just one minute from the house, while supermarkets, Welcia Pharmacy, and 7-Eleven are only a short one to two minute walk away. Many guests enjoy leaving their car parked and exploring the local area on foot.

Spend your days walking the coastline, swimming, fishing, exploring nearby villages, or simply relaxing and taking in the slower pace of life that makes Nishi-Izu so special. In the evening, enjoy the famous sunsets over Suruga Bay before returning to the comfort of your private retreat.

The beach, restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacy, and bus stop are all within easy walking distance of the house. Many guests choose to park the car and enjoy the local area on foot.

About Nishi-Izu and Dogashima

Nishi-Izu Town is located on the west coast of the beautiful Izu Peninsula just three hours south east of Tokyo. Endowed with stunning sunsets and rich natural scenery, Nishi-Izu is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, and is home to the Izu Seinan Coast, a government designated site of scenic beauty.

Geography - Nishi-Izu Town is situated on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula which lies in the east-central part of Japan in Shizuoka Prefecture. The town is sandwiched between Suruga Bay on the west and the steep Amagi mountain chain to the east.
