Our House is perched on the side of a hill amongst the gum trees on 10 acres and is the perfect place to relax.
Read a book, walk amongst the gum tress, watch the wildlife, sleep in or use as a staging point for wider ranging in the area.

The space

Trees everywhere...
A great house for chillaxing in...
A Dam with Yabbies, frogs and maybe a small fish or two.
If you are quiet then Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Possums, Koala's, Echidna's, Parakeets, Cockatoos and a fox or two are about.
Modern kitchen, two lounge areas with TV's an xBox, Foxtel, DVD player, swings for the kids, board games, basketball hoop...

Guest access

Apart from some of our pantry items, the tractor and other maintenance equipment you have access to all of the property.

Interaction with guests

Call if you need help with something otherwise we will not be about.

Other things to note

We have a special needs son in a wheelchair so the house can be equipped with a portable hoist, shower stretcher and a safe single bed that will take an adult. The area is steep so a manual wheelchair will be restricted but an electric chair can go most places.

The house is on filtered tank water but there is plenty for nice long hot showers.

Beautiful house much bigger than the photos suggest! The kitchen is huge and well laid-out, and there are 4 large verandas for meals and relaxing. The views truly are spectacular. Michael and Liza were excellent hosts, communicating with easy directions from the city and checkin was a breeze. Only downside was patchy wifi - other than that, a perfect weekend getaway spot.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our two families (4 adults and 5 kids in total) were comfortably accommodated. There was ample space and lots to do inside and outdoors. There was a lovely treat waiting for us when we arrived and Liza and Michael were very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. It was an easy 25 minute drive into Ballarat. Overall, a great place to stay and highly recommended for families.

We had a great time in Michael's home for our extended family weekend away. It was a perfect layout for our family dymanics. The home was warm and snug inside with plenty of room to relax in. The bush surrounding the home also provided great views and many opportunities for fun and bush walks. Our 5 and 6 year old grandchildren loved the swings, catching a couple of yabbies in the dam and exploring the bush area. The quality of the provisions within the kitchen, made cooking a delight. Thanks again for making our stay most enjoyable. We thoroughly recommend Michael's place to our friends. Anne

We loved our stay at Michael and Liz's place. The area was beautiful, we loved exploring the bush behind their property. The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything in it you could possible want to cook up a storm. It was perfect for our family getaway. Our hosts were very quick to respond to any queries and even left champagne and sweets for us to enjoy. Would definitely recommend their place! Thank you Micheal and Liz
