The space
Retreat from the busyness of life at this luxe industrial retreat overlooking Throsby Creek. As electric gates close behind you, so too the demands of modern day living are shut out for a while.

Enter the converted container home's striking living space through an upcycled wooden door. The entire upstairs space is kept comfortable year-round by ducted air conditioning. There's a restful master bedroom with king sized bed and luxurious contemporary bathroom flooded with natural light.

An industrial style kitchen (complete with Breville semi automatic espresso machine) and deck overlooks Throsby Creek where fish jump at twilight and birds dive and swoop. Pour yourself a glass of Hunter wine, sink into the leather lounge and experience the restful feel of this waterfront abode.

External stairs lead to a separate self-contained studio style apartment making this industrial chic retreat ideal for two couples or friends travelling together. Polished concrete floors, queen size bed, kitchenette, stylish bathroom with bath and shady outdoor deck overlooking lush gardens are on offer in the downstairs space. A ceiling fan keeps things cool in warmer weather while blackout drapes ensure a good night's sleep.

Throsby Creek Retreat features a work space overlooking the waterway, stylish furnishings, Smart TV, wifi, modern artwork, Ecology crockery, Salus bath wash and quality linen and towels. There's a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a separate laundry.

Its central Tighes Hill location allows for easy exploration of all that Newcastle, Australia's second oldest city, and the Hunter has to offer.

Private off street car parking is available for one vehicle behind secure, electronic gates.

From Throsby Creek Retreat a cycle path takes you to the heart of Newcastle's CBD (15 minutes' ride) or Nobbys Beach (20 minutes' ride). In the other direction Hamilton's Beaumont Street with its plethora of eateries, cafes, bars and vintage stores is a 15 minute walk or easy, flat ride away.

Other things to note
Throsby Creek Retreat offers basic pantry items including salt and pepper, olive oil, tea, coffee and sugar. Each booking receives a complimentary bottle of Wine (from the nearby Hunter Valley) and locally roasted coffee beans.
