Welcome to Wabamun Lake, a popular destination for fishing, boating and swimming. There are walking and cycling trails and golf courses nearby. Located just 55 km west of Edmonton, a 30 minute drive from City limits. We have a cozy 2 bedroom cabin with all of the amenities, including an outdoor kitchen. We are the second lot from the lake (not beach front) so swimming is best at Wabamun Lake Provincial Park beach, 720 meters away. Your well behaved dog or cat is welcome.

The space
The cabin is approximately 600 sq.ft. with an open concept design for the kitchen/living room space. The kitchen contains fridge, stove and microwave, cooking utensils and table with 6 chairs. The living room has a sofa bed, rocking chair, covered bench and coffee table.
The main bedroom has a queen size bed, while the second bedroom has a single size bunk bed.
The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. Hairdryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. Towels are included - please bring your own beach towels.
There is an outdoor kitchen on the large wrap-around deck. This kitchen includes sink with running water, 2 burner gas stove, Bar-B-Q, patio table and 4 chairs.
The yard has trees and grass and is quite private. There is plenty of space to enjoy, including a designated spot with a chiminea for fires. Fire wood is provided.

Wabamun lake is a popular camping, boating and swimming destination 55 km west of Edmonton on Hwy 16. Our cabin is a 720 meter walk from the Wabamun Provincial park swimming area which is free to use. There’s also playground equipment available for the kids to use. There are golf courses nearby, walking and biking trails. There’s another beach and spray park in the town of Wabamun about 6 km drive away. Our lake is a busy popular location, on weekends there is not enough parking at the provincial park beach and picnic area so some cars will drive around looking for parking spots but there are none, the lake can have multiple boats driving around at the same time causing some noise. There is a house under construction nearby. Lawnmowers, chainsaws are heard often, there’s train tracks 400 meters away, trains are required to use their horns day and night. I’m telling you all this so you don’t envision a quiet secluded cabin from June to August especially on weekends it’s a busy place, in spring and fall it’s much quieter. Another thing worth mentioning are the stickies that are produced when the local poplar trees bud out in mid to late may, there are lots of poplar trees in the are so expect to encounter them when out for a walk, the cabin itself is surrounded by spruce and pine trees. In late June the fuzz from the poplar trees appears, it’s all part of country living in Alberta.
