Welcome to Middle Shed, our lovingly restored Hinterland accommodation on a working farm, just 30 mins from Byron Bay.
Help yourself to fruit, veg and herbs from around the farm, take a long soak in the outdoor bath and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. You can expect to see and hear chooks and cows, as well as general farm happenings around the property.
We’re proudly pet-friendly, but we do ask that you keep your furry friends at a safe distance from the farm animals and equipment.

The space
Middle Shed is an open-concept farm cottage. This airy country-style space is full of rustic furnishings and vintage décor with all the modern amenities you'll need for your stay.

With a large, open main bedroom and living area, a separate room with a double ‘Murphy’ bed and a smaller living room with a sofa bed, Middle Shed is the perfect place for a couple, small family or group of close friends to spend a getaway.
Sleeps four comfortably and six if you like it cosy!

The fully equipped kitchen and curated pantry staples will have you cooking up a storm, while the back deck is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy the sweeping views.

BEDROOM & BATHROOM CONFIGURATION:
Bedroom area 1 – Queen bed & adjacent to ½ bathroom & living area
Bedroom 2 - Double 'Murphy' bed, air conditioner & access to the side balcony
Living room - The sofa bed in the living room can be used as a third sleeping space for a small fee.
½ Bathroom – Large bathtub, shower and vanity adjacent to the bedroom area
Toilet – The toilet & sink are situated in the laundry area on the back deck outside the kitchen

Guest access
We kindly request you don't wander into the cattle fields. Subject to availability, we may be able to host a tour around the farm for you to enjoy safely, and more intimately. Otherwise, Middle Shed and its surrounds are all yours. Cromwell Farm House (the main property and second guest accommodation) is positioned east of Middle Shed, representing your boundary.

Other things to note
We supply one free bag of firewood for you and additional bags can be purchased - just contact us through Airbnb to organise.

We’re a working farm, so expect some noise from equipment, animals, and suppliers at various times of day. We have cattle, chickens, and roosters—some roam freely. Please keep children and pets at a safe distance for everyone’s safety.

As an old working farm, there’s a small chance of rodent visitors, especially after rain. We use baits and traps, but please store food securely and clean up any spills or crumbs.

On rare occasions, there may be snakes that visit the property. If this occurs, please stay calm and keep a safe distance from the snake. Try to keep the snake in sight and contact us via Airbnb. Should you require a snake catcher to remove it, we recommend Safe Snake Services Lismore that operate 24/7.

This area is ideal for a long-term stay, set just far enough away in the Hinterland to provide peace and quiet but close enough to and abundance of familiar amenities that you'd need to settle down and fall into a homely rhythm.
