The Winery Suites comprise three separate, self-contained suites within the original 160-year-old Hewitson Homestead. Each suite has its own private entrance and en-suite. Stay on a working vineyard and winery in the heart of the Barossa Valley and enjoy everything the region has to offer.
The suites open to a small courtyard garden and are a fifteen metre walk to the cellar door decks overlooking our vineyard. Take in these unparalleled views while enjoying a glass of Hewitson Wines.
The space
The homestead has been architecturally renovated so that it contains three separate yet adjacent suites: Crush, Press and Ferment, that altogether are The Winery Suites. Each suite has a separate entrance and comes with a king bed and adjoining en-suite bathroom. The Ferment Suite has the added luxury of a lounge room and kitchenette, acting as a convenient communal area for groups to meet and relax. Guests of The Winery Suites also have access to the cellar door outside areas with sweeping views of the Hewitson vineyard and beyond… the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine.
As a Certified Member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, our guest suites, vineyard and winery are environmentally sustainable using 100% solar energy. Minimum two-night stay for bookings that include a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.
The Crush and Press Suites include:
• A king sized bed and adjoining en-suite
• Kettle with teas, milk & sugar and Nespresso coffee maker.
• All-natural fibre quality bed linens
• Leif Body Products
• A fridge and mini-bar including premium Hewitson wines
• A flat-screen television, reverse cycle A/C and free wifi
The Ferment Suite also includes:
• Flat-screen television in the lounge room
• A dishwasher, sink, toaster, sandwich maker and microwave
Please note: The Winery Suites consist of three separate, self-contained suites. When booking all three, your group will enjoy exclusive use of the suites, but they remain individual accommodations with separate private entrances. The Ferment Suite serves as the shared gathering space for your group.

There are great dining options available and all just a few minutes away, which we can highly recommend. Most restaurants accept BYO and please let them know you are our guest. You can purchase wine from your Guest Room and from our Tasting Room; or ask us for our Old & Rare Museum Cellar list and choose something special! let us know in advance. Reds will be left on the mini-bar and whites in the fridge in your room.
