The house is suitable for 1-3 families, has 4 full bedrooms plus a room that converts into a bedroom with sofa beds, 4 bathrooms, huge entertaining decks and veranda, swimming pool, tennis court, half basketball court and resident kangaroos.
The space
The space
The main part of the house has a larger open plan kitchen/lounge/dining space (with cathedral ceilings, wood burner and TV) overlooking the pool, master king bedroom with en-suite (shower only - spa bath not available), queen bedroom, 2 single beds in the last bedroom, full bathroom, separate toilet and laundry + a large deck/veranda with outdoor dining table and views over the 1st dam on the property.
The ‘west wing’ has a wet bar, separate toilet, bathroom, fridge, pool table/games area, separate lounge room (with TV) and 2 single sofa beds.
The end of the ‘west wing’ has a separate guest master king bedroom with en-suite.
All bedrooms have their own air conditioning for the hot summer nights. The main living room has a fireplace and there is firewood next to the 3 bay garage from time to time. Please do not rely on firewood being supplied. You can purchase Firewood from the Shell service station just before you get to the ferry.
There is a large double lock up garage with one side extra high opening with drive through to fit your boat. There is ample parking next to the end of the ‘west wing’. A deck/veranda runs the full length of the property with views over the garden and bush. At the south west corner of the property is a full sized tennis court and a half sized basketball court.
A couple of things to note: there are spa jets in the swimming pool but these are not operable, there are tennis racquets available for use, the Xbox in the West Wing is 'region locked' so only Australian DVD's will work on it; if your booking is for 10 guests the 2 sofa beds will be made up for your arrival.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of a machinery/workshop garage.
Other things to note
We do not like to list things 'not to do' but its is worth noting a few key things:
1. Please be respectful of our neighbours and keep noise/music to a minimum during your stay. Noosa Council noise restrictions are in place and the police will be called to shut down any excessive noise and issue fines. Please ensure all noise / music is turned off between 10 pm and 8 am.
2. Fires are not permitted except in the main house wood burning stove – this includes the firepit in the garden
3. Pets must remain outside at all times and need to be kept under control to avoid chasing the wildlife
4. Please do not drive or park on the grass areas
5. The house has a septic tank system – we cannot stress this point enough – do not place anything in the drains or toilets other than water, toilet paper and bodily waste! Fats, oil, tampons, nappies etc. will clog up the system and must not be placed in toilets or drains, it will block in a matter of minutes and you will be charged for the unblocking of the system (and this usually is a 24 hour (and very smelly!) wait)
6. No guns, hunting, cross bows etc. – goes without saying but you would be surprised!
7. Leave the property as you found it a and treat it as your own – return everything where you found it and cover pool with provided cover
8. Min stay periods apply over school holiday periods
9. The property is accessible via 2WD - the only part of the Noosa North Shore that needs a 4WD is if you plan to drive on the beach (permit is required)
10. Any excess rubbish please take away with you to dispose elsewhere
