This is a beautiful little house we bought and renovated from scratch with a lot of respect to the original materials of the house, and our artistic nature. It is in the area of Agia Triada, one of the oldest neighborhood of Heraklio, in the very center and by the water promenade. Our neighborhood is like a village in the city, not a touristic place but a real place where people live.
Close to everything

The space
this is a unique house, from 1917 entirely renovated this year in our style with great architecture ideas. It is in the old town in a pedestrian area, we have bicycles that our guests often borrow to discover the sea promenade etc. There are two floors, the ground floor with the cooking area, dining area, a double sofa bed and one WC. The upper floor has one double bed and an open bathroom. We have extra mattresses in case you come with your children and want them to sleep upstairs with you. The house is cool because it is made of stone and because we did insulation and energy saving works when renovating it. The entire ground floor glass doors facade open in the summer to the front yard to create a bigger space.

Where you’ll be

Iraklio, Greece

This area is old, traditional, not touristic and poor at the same time. Very interesting because next to the Natural History Museum, the waterfront, 5' to the Historical Museum.

Hi I am a video artist and sculptor living between Heraklio and Paris. I travel a lot with my husband and our two sons. We enjoy discovering new tastes, places, walking in the mountains, watching the Charlie Parker festival in Harlem, play with the boys at the Tompkins Square park, eat strawberries from the grandparents' garden in Brittany, do art workshops with children outdoors. I like watching absurd comedies and Woody Allen films I am so grateful airbnb exists because I met with a lot of people that stayed at our house and got to show them a very different version of the island, the little places we know, etc.
