Ocala is one of the most beautiful parts of Florida. Its rolling green hills, horse farms, oak trees and enchanted Spanish moss give it a truly magical feel.

Known as “Brick City” due to its beautiful downtown architecture, Ocala is also considered the “Horse Capital of the World,” making it a prime locale for equine fans. Not to mention, it’s close to major cities like Tampa and Orlando. Nature enthusiasts also love to frequent the Ocala Springs and Ocala National Forest.

The space
The “Nash House” was built by Reverend Nash in 1891. The house has been beautifully restored and sits just blocks away from the beautiful downtown square.

The apartment is about 1,000 sq feet on the second floor and contains its own entrance, front porch, foyer, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a second bedroom, a second bathroom, and a living room/kitchen space and laundry facilities.

You must climb stairs to access the space.

The apartment is fully stocked with pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee and tea. And there are two bikes for your enjoyment.

Parking is on street just in front of the house. Please do not park in front of the neighbors houses. There is plenty of space right in front of the Airbnb.

There are 159 metered parking spaces in the downtown area. In addition to the metered parking spaces, free parking is available daily at the downtown parking garage, located at 296 SE Broadway St If you’d rather park off street. The garage is a 4 block walk. The driveway is for a separate apartment, please do not park in it.

There is a sweet outdoor cat who is feed and taken to the vet along with some other cats in the neighborhood. He is very friendly and likes to greet guests.

The apartment is a 5 minute walk through the historic district to the downtown square where you can enjoy dining, shopping, and live music.

Art walk is the first Friday of each month from 6pm-9pm in the square. The event does pause for the summer months.

The downtown farmers market is held each Saturday from 9am-2pm

We are located 8 miles from the new World Equestrian Center and 6 miles from Silver Springs State Park.

Hello, a few years ago I purchased the historic Kemp house in downtown Ocala. The house was most recently The Blue Heron Art Gallery. Over the years it’s been home to several different businesses and was a boarding house in the 1950s and 1960s. After months of renovation, I opened it up for guests to enjoy the suites.

Last year, I purchased the Nash house which was built in 1891. After renovations I opened it up to guests in July. The home was named for Pastor Charles Nash who was the pastor of the First Baptist Church. The home is on the same street as the oldest synagogue in Florida. It’s been a joy to add the space to my existing properties.

The most recent addition is the Martin house. This home opened February of this year for guests. The home was built in 1918, by one of the founding families in Ocala. The home features original stained glass, fireplaces and claw foot tub.

I have been in the rental industry for years, and always look to have happy guests. Thank you for considering these properties, I hope you select one for a getaway.
