True North lodge is a Scandinavian Style A-framed wooden self-catering property nestled in the trees on the banks of Loch Oich.

Sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms and welcoming pets we're just off the A82 right in the middle of the Scottish Highlands so a fantastic base for touring and sightseeing.

With the Great Glen Way Long Distance Walking Trail, and the Caledonian Canal on our doorstep we're only 20 minutes to Loch Ness, 25 minutes to the Nevis Range Ski Resort and 40 minutes to Ben Nevis Base.

The space
The Lodge is all on one level with 3 bedrooms and a spacious central showerroom. The kitchen / dining / Living room is open plan and is a great space for socialising. The huge patio doors have views across the greenspace, with the Loch and trees beyond and they open to an outdoor decked area with picnic table and chairs.

Bed Linens and towels are all included as is heating and electricity, electricity and Wifi. We have books and boardgames, blankets, TV and DVD's. The kitchen is well equipped and comes with a few store cupboard essentials too.

Guest access
True North Lodge is a stand-alone self catering property and you have sole-use while you are here. We have free onsite parking in our large communal car park. The car park is about a 30 second walk from True North Lodge.

We are surrounded by trees and woodland walks right from our doorstep.

Other things to note
The village of Invergarry is a 5 minute drive away with a small shop (the closest shop to True North Lodge) and off-license at the Petrol Station.

Fort Augustus is 10-15 minutes away and is a wee town which has an assortment of local shops, pubs and a Londis supermarket.

For a big shop then we suggest Fort William, 30 minutes away, which has all the big supermarkets.

There are several local hotels offering lunches and evening meals in the surrounding areas which operate with seasonal opening hours. The closest pub is the Invergarry Hotel. The Eagle Barge Inn also operates with seasonal opening hours and is a floating pub at Laggan Locks - A 30 minute walk away.

First and foremost we are located only a few steps away from beautiful Loch Oich - A wonderful place to swim, to watch the wildlife, for paddlesports and relaxation.

We are situated 25 miles north of Fort William – The Outdoor Capital of Scotland. Ten miles to the north of True North Lodge takes you to Fort Augustus and the start of Loch Ness. Nessie sightings not guaranteed! 35 miles further takes you to Inverness. Beyond that is the Wild Northern Scotland of your dreams!

Glencoe is less than an hour by car to the South while South West we have Oban and the gateway to the Isles via Calmac Ferries. Directly West will take you to Morvern, Ardnamurchan, Knoydart and onwards to the Misty Isle of Skye.

And last but not least head East to Aviemore, Strathspey and the mighty Cairngorms National Park.

We have walking, cycling, mountain biking, paddle sports, Munro bagging, whisky distillery tours, Fishing, Wildlife Spotting, wild swimming... to name but a few things you can do during your stay at True North Lodge.
