The house has 4 bedrooms for up to 8 guests and surrounded by country gardens, green lawn and plenty of wildlife filled trees. If you love being outside you'll love the large swimming dam and cozy outdoor firepit area!

The home features thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, quality linen, aircon, indoor and outdoor fireplace, large fully equipped kitchen, family dining area and a sunroom.

The space
At “True North”, there is an emphasis on being nature-loving and sustainable with permaculture aspects but without the expense of luxury! We know our tranquil setting provides an ideal place to truly relax and unwind in the midst of nature.

Situated on over 80 acres of natural bushland at the epicenter of the World Heritage Wollemi and Blue Mountains National Parks, you will be among rare flora and fauna and close to spectacular bushwalking and sightseeing locations. You may be fortunate to see wallabies, koalas, birdlife, and even the rare greater glider marsupials from our private bush tracks from the property. Groups of birdwatchers, bushwalkers and mushroom foragers love staying with us!

Being in the Blue Mountains we also attract the adventurous sort; so if you are looking for somewhere to unwind after a day of rock climbing and canyoning, our house is the perfect retreat in the heart of it all!
Bilpin has great local produce and we follow suit with a love of growing food in unique way. We are happy to share surplus food and knowledge, just ask!
We also pride ourselves on the fact the whole property is solar-powered and all water supply is delicious clean rainwater. If you have an interest in sustainability and permaculture you will be in love with our home!

Inside, there are four generous size bedrooms, all with quality linen and oil heaters. Three rooms have built-in robes for storage. The main bedroom has an impressive king-sized timber frame bed and bedside tables custom-built from local timber. The other rooms each have queen beds.

The large country kitchen is modern and fully equipped along with a lovely family-sized dining table for meals.

The large bathroom has a wonderful deep stone bathtub to soak in while looking out at garden views and a separate shower and toilet.

The living area features big comfortable lounges and a large slow combustion fireplace to stay warm and cozy on those cooler nights. A certain amount of cut timber is supplied which should be ample for your stay.

Located at the back of the home is a delightful reading room (or workspace if needed) and comfortable lounge which fills with natural sunlight and warmth during clear days. A perfect spot to retreat with a book or a space to meditate in your own way.

Adjacent to the sunroom is a quirky outdoor hot water shower which overlooks the gardens and bushing line. There is a large impressive Buddha statue whom we all admire for bringing a sense of peace, love, and good intentions for your stay.

Outside, there is a covered BBQ area where you can enjoy the view and tranquility of the large dam. There is also a fire pit and large outdoor dining area near the house to enjoy the evening stars, fresh Bilpin air and listen to the sounds of the bush at night.

We look forward to welcoming you to True North!

Neighbourhood highlights

You are within just a few kilometers of apple orchards, flower farms, roadside stalls, apple cider sheds, and wonderful country-style restaurants and cafes.

Visit one of the Apple Cider Sheds (a short walking distance away). Hillbilly Cider and Bilpin Cider produce a variety of national and multi-award-winning alcoholic and non-alcoholic ciders.

Ciders are available to try, buy or enjoy on-premises with a bite to eat. We highly recommend trying one of the heart-warming, scrumptious wood-fired pizzas from Hillbilly Cider Shed.

A local IGA Supermarket is 10 minutes drive away at Kurrajong Heights, supplying basic groceries and liquor.

Otherwise, you can visit one of the local restaurants, cafes, or cider sheds within 5 kilometers away. The Archibald Pub also serves great meals and beverages at Kurrajong Heights.

“Pick Your Own” Apple / Fruit adventures are also a big seasonal drawcard for visitors and locals alike with the nearby orchards and fruit shops.
