Pelican cottage is located on the ocean water front of Pelican Lagoon, a Marine Park facing East/North. It is 4kms to the Town of American River and 5 kms to Pennington beach. The charming, historic cottage has a front bedroom overlooking Pelican Lagoon where you will enjoy the views over our native garden and onto the water .Second bedroom views to the garden. Cook in the well equipped kitchen. There is a Separate bathroom. Sit on the deck and view wildlife, sunrises, moon rises,ocean view .

Water frontage, a bird watchers paradise, other wildlife abounds.
The front bedroom with double bed in the cosy cottage with stunning views of Pelican Lagoon ocean inlet.
A second bedroom has a queen bed for a couple or two children who dont mind sharing over looks the garden.
Fully equipped kitchen with gas cook top and electric oven . A separate bathroom with shower and toilet. A separate laundry with washing machine and iron.

We aim to greet you on your arrival. The area is very quiet and peaceful with unobstructed ocean views of Pelican Lagoon ocean inlet .

Access via Muston Road, parking available in the yard . The back and front yard have chairs and tables for sitting and relaxing to watch wildlife.
Book the SeaLink ferry to Penneshaw or a flight from Adelaide via Qantas to Kangaroo Island Airport.This is a great option as the flight is only 20mins .

Other things to note
Please leave your room clean and tidy.
Take the sheets off the bed for washing when leaving.
All smoking is outside and dispose of buts in the bin.

Surfing and swimming beaches are a 5 to 10 minute drive.
Fuel is available from Penneshaw, Kingscote and Town of American River .
The nearest supermarket is at Penneshaw and Kingscote.
The American River Post office also has good Coffee.
The Restaurants at American River are at Kangaroo Island Lodge and Glossy Black Cockatoo Restaurant.
The community Shed is open for meals from 6pmTuesday and Friday.
Other restaurants we recommend are The Dudley Winery and False Cape Winery.
If you love seafood the Oyster shop near the wharf at American River.
