Shad's place is an amazing oasis on Lake Atitlan. The village it is located in is very small and different to other towns on the lake- that's what makes it so special. As the village is small there is not really anywhere to eat so we ate at the guesthouse. The food was a little…

The best place I've stayed in my travels through Central America thus far. Highly recommended, great place to unwind for a few days or to use as a base to visit the nearby towns.

Beautiful, peaceful space with the sounds of the babbling brook and wind rustling through the bamboo while looking over the lake and volcanos. Fresh healthy delicious food from the restaurant.

Interaction with guests
We also run a profitable farm and are very busy. That said, we love to talk and we love what we do. We live nearby and are available but we also offer 24 hour security on the premises. We are careful to make sure people always have their own space .
