Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Nestled between bucolic horse farms & the Brandywine Creek in historic Chester County, this rustic cottage is the quintessential location for an idyllic getaway. Better than the glamping cabins at KOA/West Chester-Philadelphia & more affordable. Come have your own private slice of heaven!

Ask us about our pool pass. Pets determined on case-by-case basis with an additional fee.

>>Have sensitive allergies or require a sterile setting? Don't stay here! Again it's a vintage RUSTIC Cottage.<<

The space
Northbrook Canoe & Tubing ~ 5mins
Revolutionary War battlefields ~ 10mins
Barnard Orchard & Farmer's Market ~ 10mins
Andrew Wyeth Studio & Art Museum ~ 15mins
Longwood Gardens ~ 15mins
Chadds Ford Winery ~ 17mins

Take a stroll across 10+ acres soaking up the wide open green space; Meditate by the pond; Nap under the great maple in a swaying hammock; Breath deep the crisp verdant air on the banks of the creek; Wave to the engineer of the daily cargo train or the families floating down the Brandywine; Count the stars of the Milky Way; Catch fire flies; Sing a campfire song.

Like a true cottage, it's aged with quaint charm -- nothing fancy or grandiose but all the basic comforts of home with the respite of getting away.

There's a humble (but fairly updated) kitchen with full-size appliances: stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and dishwasher and a large pantry which is in the adjacent dining area. The main floor also includes a family room, two good-sized bedrooms and a full bathroom with a bathtub. While upstairs includes a full-size washer and dryer, a bonus space for sleeping or playing, a full bathroom with a vintage stall shower and another large private bedroom.

Our favorite part of this house is that from every window the view is shrouded in greenery whether it's trees, ferns or the Rhododendron -- it's like living in a fairy house!

Remember, this is a rustic cottage located in the country along wetlands and near a creek -- think of this like glamping where there could be bugs and weather events or power outages. The cottage has all modern conveniences but is more cabin-like in its finishes -- aka nothing fancy or luxe. If you're looking for a place that's pristine with perfectly updated fixtures and facilities, this is not your place. The cottage is neat, clean and comfortable -- and not high-end like a cottage on the Hamptons -- more like a family's upstate hunting lodge.
