Magnolia Cottage at Wolka Park offers a peaceful and private rural escape set within a stunning 30 acre Equine Property. Enjoy the serenity of beautiful established gardens, sweeping lawns and majestic pines. Explore the walking tracks on our property, feed the horses and immerse yourself in tranquil nature. Walk to our special lookout in Wollemi National Park and experience the sunset in total seclusion. At night enjoy the outdoor fire pit and gaze at the stars! An easy 1.5 hours from Sydney.

The space
Magnolia Cottage comes fully equipped for a luxurious self-catering stay for up to 10 guests and would suit families and small groups.
We have recently installed high speed internet for guests who need to keep up with work demands but still want to enjoy a peaceful getaway with their family. Satellite (Wifi speed is 135 + Mbps). You have private use of over 2 acres of gorgeous gardens which surround the cottage and you have exclusive access to walk around our 30 acre horse farm and nearby lookouts. Say hello to our ponies, horses and very friendly dogs! Relax on the outdoor deck, perfect for long lazy lunches.

The open plan cottage features idyllic garden views from every room and is stylish and inviting. With a huge slow combustion stove and reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout, it's like your home away from home. We have tonnes of books to read, board games, and 2 x TV’s with DVD. There are 2 bathrooms and a modern fully equipped kitchen with an extra large oven perfect for the holiday chefs!
The 4.5 bedrooms all have tranquil views to the gardens , ceiling fans, and reverse cycle aircon. The main bedroom has a King Size bed and is adjoined by a small room with a Single Bed which leads to the Ensuite. This would suit a family with a young child or baby.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed and can have either 2 x single beds or 1 x single bed and a sofa. Again, this would suit a family group.
The other 2 existing rooms are smaller and Bedroom 3 has 1x Queen Bed and Bedroom 4 has 2 x single beds.
With a lovely deck and gorgeous shady gardens you’re bound to find a quiet spot to soak up the serenity.

Snooze in a hammock or enjoy spectacular sunsets from our very own secluded wilderness lookout!

Enjoy the huge variety of birds, feed our ducks or go walking around the farm to feed the horses some carrots. There is lots of space for the kids to run and lots of activities they can enjoy. We offer pony rides and riding lessons (be sure to book ahead). Kids can bring their mountain bikes to ride and have fun climbing trees, play table tennis and play with our very friendly dogs or enjoy roasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire pit.

Bilpin offers many fun things to do including, fruit picking, stunning walks, 2 Cider and 1 Gin distillery and pretty Gardens to visit.

The weather is very changeable up here in the mountains so be sure to pack sturdy boots and warm coats!

Neighbourhood highlights

Do as much or as little as you like! We are close to some amazing scenery and the Blue Mountains offers many bushwalking options and spectaculars lookouts. Wolka Park is a 10 min drive from the Botanic Gardens at Mt Tomah (open all year) and 30 mins from the English Gardens at Mt Wilson. Closer by is Wildwood Garden which has a gorgeous garden, offers a gift shop, lovely sunlit cafe and nursery.

The famous Bilpin Apple orchards are 10mins away and you can try the cellar doors or pick your own delicious fresh apples in season. We recommend Hillbilly Cider for a pizza and drinks (try the cider tasting paddles) and the Hive at Berambing for Coffee, Burgers and local Honey. You can pick local fresh produce at TNT and Pine Crest Orchard. Pie In The Sky has great Apple Pies as does Wildwood Gardens and the Grumpy Baker has a great assortment of bread and treats. Mountain Bell Cafe has a 100% plant based offering for vegans.
There are some lovely easy walks nearby such as Pierces Pass (20 minutes) amazing canyon views and the Mount Banks Picnic area is lovely too. There are Glow Worm Tours and Mud Baths close by. You can book a riding lesson with us or just enjoy the walks from our back gate. The Bilpin Market is on every Saturday from 10 to 12 at the Community Hall and they have a yummy breakfast and lovely produce available. The Sourdough Breads and Quince Paste are our favourites.
All the delights of the Upper Mountains: Leura, Blackheath, Mt Victoria Villages are only a 40 minute drive away.
