Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
Welcome to the top paddock! This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the north west coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the wood fired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, its a Tasmanian version of luxury camping.

The space
Your Yurt has everything you need for an amazing authentic stay. (please read the house rules at the foot of the bed upon your arrival) A queen bed, flickering woodfire, looking out on to nothing but rolling hills and native trees. At night unclip the roof curtain and lay on the bed staring at the stars✨ and the moon🌕. Sharing only with minature goats, occasionally baby doll sheep and wildlife.

Theres a small cabin down the road and up the hill, so while you might see a car going past every now and then, that will be it, nearly all of the time you're enjoying total privacy and the sounds of the bush.

The bath will be full when you arrive you just need to build a fire in the fire pot (takes about 60 minutes to heat up) and water is available to cool it down.

We are very much fur baby friendly and there's even something special for them hidden in the tent 🐾I just ask that they are under your control at all times.

And please if you have any questions or need any assistance I can not say it enough please, please just ask, I want you to 100% enjoy this experience.

Guest access
Enter the top paddock half way down the lane through the gate and please close the gate after you. Check in is at 2pm and Check out is before 10am as this is a working property, I thank you for your co-operation.

Other things to note
This isn't your typical glamping, there's only one tent in the middle of the top paddock surrounded by nature, there's no shower - only a wood fired bath that takes about an hour to heat once lit, other than the cast iron kettle on the stove this is your only hot water. There's no power to the yurt but plenty of solar lights and battery banks.

The bathroom is the traditional out house, if you're not into putting a bit of Tassie camping into your glamping, then we may not be the place for you - if you don't mind a bit of authentic living we are 100% made for you.

We suggets bringing some Tasmanian produce and platter food to enjoy, cooking is on the fire pit or a small gas stove. We request that you boil the kettle n toast marshmallows only in the tent please.

But if at anytime you need assistance please don't hesitate to give me a call.

*You should also look into staying in the Tin Shed, this one is just down the lane.

Where I went to school: Wynyard, Tas
My work: Chef before airbnb.
I live on the NW Coast of Tasmania on 64 acres of paradise with a managery of animals. I also airbnb a Yurt and a unit (The Tin Shed) on my property. I'm fully off grid and heading towards self suffiency. The buildings on the property have been built with reclaimed and recycled materials. I am certainly living the best life, you should come stay and experience the beauty and peace of this property.
