Where you’ll be

El Pescadero, Baja California Sur, Mexico

There's a lot to love about Cerritos Beach! What first caught our attention is just how friendly everyone is; not manufactured Aloha, but in a gentle, matter-of-fact sort of way that brims with integrity. The residents of the Baja are hard-working, capable, and resourceful people, they love kids and are overwhelmingly helpful.

The weather is always great, and when it gets too hot, the beach is right there or the pool is a 3 minute walk from our front door.

The food options are starting to shift from awesome to incredible. I list all of our recommendations in the house Guidebook, but here's a quick note: Pizza Napoli in our resort community is open year round and has amazing, brick oven pizza. Barracuda might be the best fish taco you have have, along with fabulous cocktails. They are located under a quaint little palapa with a food truck kitchen right next door to Cerritos Sunrise and Costa Azul. Shaka's is a jamming little Texas-themed sports bar just 5 minutes from the casita on Cerritos road. Great drinks, great food and the owner is a sweet guy. Palmar in San Pedrito has great coffee and breakfast. Baja Beans in El Pescadero also has great coffee and pastries, and hosts an artisan market with live music every weekend. Hierbabuena is the go-to gourmet restaurant in El Pescadero, with a farm to table seasonal menu, dangerous cocktails and a sublime open air setting. Pura Playa Beach Bar in San Pedrito offers great sunset views and live music. Finally, Noah's Sushi in both El Pescadero and Todos Santos is open for lunch and dinner, serving impeccable sushi dishes.

There are several places to rent boards and take surf lessons, but we recommend Mario Surf School, which is located next to the beach restaurant. You can book in advance on their website and also arrange a board rental. A larger board selection (from beginner to advanced) can be found at their surf shop located next to Baja Bean, the Pescadero Surf Shop.

Todos Santos is a government-designated "Pueblo Magical," a distinction that grants them federal revenue to maintain their brick-cobbled roads and other historical features of this thriving artists' community. Home to countless art shops where you can get virtually everything from ceramic-to-hammock.

There are several small grocery stores in and around Todos and El Pescadero, but the best produce comes from Agricole, a building located at the end of town on your left as you're leaving El Pescadero towards Todos. There's also an old hippy gringo that sells a fantastic range of fresh produce (time it for the blueberries, man) in an otherwise vacant brick building (sign says Organico) right before you hit El Pescadero on the right if you're coming from Cabo. Salgado market will have everything else that you need.

Hi! I'm Marisa. An avid traveler, having explored 6 continents, I've had wonderful experiences on Airbnb. Originally from New York and California, I'm now settled in El Pescadero, BCS. I've been dreaming of having my own rentals for years -- to be able to welcome someone to a place that I love and share my knowledge with them -- and now that time has finally come! I'm so excited to share my space with you and help ensure you have the best experience!

I'm a non-practicing attorney who works remotely full-time for a USA company. Becoming location independent has changed my life, enabling me to based in Mexico and work while exploring other locations. For this reason, my rental is equipped with premium WiFi, so you too can take care of business while soaking in the Mexican sun!
