The space
Originally built as The New Lord Lyndoch Hotel in 1855 and now restored as a private residence, Lyndoch Grand offers the perfect venue to celebrate group weekends in the Barossa Valley, family reunions, wedding celebrations, corporate retreats, special birthdays and more. We can accommodate up to 14 people across 7 bedrooms. There's plenty of space to relax in one of the lounge rooms, the magnificent entertainment room with billiard table, or on the wide front balcony or rear balcony. The unique basement bedroom features an antique cast iron spiral staircase and flagstone slate floor. The huge farmhouse kitchen is well equipped and ready for dinner parties. There are three and a half bathrooms and an upstairs kitchenette, too. Original high pressed-metal ceilings, baltic pine floors and leadlight windows are featured throughout the property, which has been furnished with antique Barossa Valley furniture. The massive red gum trees in the rear yard are home to scores of native galahs and the occasional kookaburra. The rear undercroft is great for outdoor dining and barbeque facilities are also provided.

Neighbourhood highlights

Lyndoch is one of South Australia's oldest towns and is the gateway to the world famous Barossa Valley, just 56km north of Adelaide. It was the first Barossa town settled and the first vines were planted here. It still retains a quiet village feel, with the local hotel, supermarket, traditional butcher, bakery, library and post office a two minute walk away. Surrounded by vineyards and glorious red gums, Lyndoch is an ideal base for exploring all the Barossa has to offer.

Lives in Lyndoch, Australia
I'm a self-employed musician and antique dealer. I'm outgoing, energetic and optimistic, with a keen sense of humour. I love my family, socialising with friends, hunting for interesting antique and vintage items and playing music. I enjoy cooking, especially Italian and Mexican food, and don't mind a nice cold beer.
