To encourage conversation and connection, we have deliberately excluded a television, hoping you find moments of laughter and tranquillity.

You’ll find the house fitted out with all the creature comforts you need for a truly relaxing and restorative holiday, but what you’ll also notice is the deliberate exclusion of a television.
We’ve found this is the best way to bring conversation, laughter, moments of connection and pockets of quiet and tranquillity to our stay. We hope you find the same.

Take advantage of all the Augusta and surrounds have to offer whether it be fishing, surfing, swimming, or visiting local vineyards and producers.

The Shipwright's Mistress is a place to rest, dream, and rejuvenate.

You will have private use of the entire house and property during your stay.

Enjoy direct waterfront access to the beautiful Blackwood River, right at your doorstep.

Please note, there is a small locked granny flat on site that is used for housekeeping supplies and is not accessible to guests.

Other things to note
The house has two bedrooms, both with queen size beds. The second bedroom also has a petite day bed which is slightly smaller than a standard single bed - suitable for children or small adults.

The beds are decked out in cloud soft linen, complete with hotel grade mattress toppers and pillows to ensure you have the most relaxing sleep possible.

Small-medium well behaved pets are welcomed, with prior approval, on the condition that they are not left unattended inside or outside at the house during your stay.
Please bring your fur-baby's bed and bowls with you, and pick up all poops in the yard before you leave.

We have hosted a number of location shoots, which we welcome with pre-approval. Please reach out for pricing and confirmation.

The driveway is narrow so not suitable for trailers or motorhomes.

No smoking.
