Other things to note

Springtime is lambing time here! We always have one or two sock lambs to be bottle - fed so if like to help out just ask! The how tub is for the sole use of the holiday cottage. It is literally 10 steps form the bedroom (Behind the bamboo fencing). Its totally private!

SAT-NAVS!!! Do not trust them! Some will take you past the best entrance into the farm, which is Jay Lane. If your Sat Nav takes you downhill into Leintwardine, take the first lane on your right immediately
after the large wooden art gallery/picture framing gallery. That is Jay Lane. Drive down there till you cross a river bridge and you will see the farm immediately across the firleds, follow the road round. If you are still lost ask at either the Leintwardine garage or the Bucknell garage. Good luck!!

We had a great stay at Richard's cottage and would not hesitate to recommend it to either couples or families. We went as a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 7 and it was perfect! From the onset, Richard was very professional and helpful, answering queries promptly and providing detailed directions. Size-wise the cottage was just right and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into furnishing and equipping it. The kitchen was colourful, light and airy and the crockery, good quality Whittards. There was even an extremely kind and thoughtful welcome pack that greeted us when we arrived at the cottage! The children loved seeing and petting the friendly and docile animals each day. The cottage was a great base to explore the surrounding areas, and Richard gave some great recommendations. We visited Ludlow, Carding Mill Valley, and the Shropshire Discovery Centre which were all nearby. Thank you again Richard for a fantastic stay!

Thanks Winnie, a very generous review. We really enjoyed hosting such a happy compact family, For us they are the best groups to host we get the most pleasure from them. As I said if you are passing nearby please feel free to bring the children over to see the animals and I'll make you a cup of tea xx

We stayed for a week and had a fabulous time, relaxing in the countryside. We were made to feel right at home on arrival with a guided tour of the accommodation, facilities and surrounding area. The house was a perfect base for our stay, allowing us to visit the local towns and attractions and returning home to "flop" and rest in comfort. An idyllic part of the country to visit and our enjoyment of our holiday was boosted by the wonderful accommodation and our hosts. Thank you.

Richard went above and beyond, we had a great time and loved Richards recommendations for great local food and drink. The location was exactly what we were looking for, the animals were a particular highlight, as well as coming home to a glass of wine and relaxing in the hot tub.

Perfect. Stunning rural location, with plenty to get out and do, or stay and relax and unwind. The cottage is lovely, with lots of lovely little touches that makes it feel like home. It was hard to work out from the photos before we arrived but the sauna and hot tub are a few steps from bedroom doors and completely private. The patio is yours but is overlooked by hosts, but this is not an issue as they are very respectful of privacy. One of the best things was Richard and Becky - the hosts. You feel like you are visiting old friends. But the best kind, who leave you to it or chat as much as you want!! They really couldn't be a nicer couple and will do anything to make your visit the best it can be. The only thing we would change is how long we stayed. Not long enough.

Richard is a retired IT professional and Becky runs the farm and keeps herslef busy with the animals most of the time. We live and work on a small hobby farm. We also operate a small fly fishery which we stock with beautiful rainbow trout. We are interested in eco-friendly matters which is reflected in the way we care for our chickens, ducks and pigs and our favourite animals Goats!!! We also foster 2 miniature shetland ponies and two further horses retired form a riding stables nearby.

We like to up cycle as much as we can and that is reflected in our tasteful and cosy holiday cottage.

We both enjoy travel and my partner Rebecca has travelled and lived abroad in Asia and Australia a great deal. I enjoy any kind of travel with rural France and Italy being amongst my favourite destinations.

We promote local businesses wherever possible just to ensure our lifestyle stays as it is.
