Our warm, cozy, & quiet room offers a perfect resting spot for all that the Wenatchee Valley has to offer. We are walking distance to downtown Cashmere and a lovely river trail that leads to a local park. We are close proximity to a variety of year round activities such as winter skiing, mountain biking, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing. We are also walking distance to delicious food and a local grocery store. We strive to live in a way that is most sustainable for the earth.

The space
*****We are a fragrance and chemical free home!
We clean with nontoxic solutions that also kill bacteria and viruses. We wash our bedding in organic nontoxic Landry soap. If you are sensitive to chemicals and fragrances, we are the place for you! ******
Your room has a Queen bed, wireless internet access, bluetooth stereo, TV that connects to digital accounts, table and chairs, coffee maker with organic coffee and tea. Many books available to sit and enjoy on rainy days. Your room overlooks the backyard garden.

We live as close to the earth as we can. We strive to be sustainable and live in ways that support our connection with mother earth. We garden (growing a lot of our own food and herbs), we make herbal medicines (which we are happy to share), we compost, have a worm bin, we make our own ferments, walk into town and try to reduce our car usage. We try to limit our plastic use and reuse as much as we can. We work on regenerating the soil and being as connected to our earth mother as we can. When we are good to her she is good to us. Let us know if you would like us to show you some of the ways that we create sustainability in our home. We regularly teach fermenting and herbal medicine making classes.

We also offer massage for extra fee and it comes with access to our infrared sauna. Sarah is a trained body worker. Ask us about getting a deep healing massage during your stay.

We have been hosting Airbnb's for the past 8 years. We have hundreds of positive reviews from my past account with my ex-partner. We are really excited to host you and share our experiences.

We welcome everyone! This is a safe home. We practice non violent communication, we welcome all races, religions, sexual preferences, political affiliations, identities etc.

Guest access
As our guest you have access to many parts of our home. First you have access to your room, your shared bathroom, the kitchen, the laundry area, the fridge! You also can enjoy our living and dining room for eating and relaxation if you wish. Please note that you also have a TV in your room but we encourage our guests to enjoy as much of our space as possible.
Our private bedrooms are off limits.
For an extra fee you can have access to the sauna upstairs. Contact me for more information about our infrared sauna use and a massage during your stay.

Other things to note
We are a very conscious home. Meaning we buy organic food, grow our own food, make our own medicines, live minimally, reuse when we can, do not use toxic chemicals or fragrances.
We do our part as much as we can to be aware of our impact on the planet. We also practice conscious communication and nonviolent communication. We raise our daughter as compassionate and gentle parenting. We unschool/homeschool and when our daughter was born we practiced attachment parenting.

When we use the word conscious we are using it in many different forms. We can always improve and have less of a negative impact on the planet and would love to share our ideas and dreams about ecological living.

Hi! I am Sarah your host. I have hosted Airbnb's in the different places I have lived for 8 years. I am highly experienced and deeply love hosting and sharing my spaces with travelers! I used to run an Airbnb in Savannah (my daughter wad actually born in the guest bathroom during their first night with us. Super fast home birth and the guests got to hear her take her first breathe! so special. Ask me more about her birth and about home-birth!) I also ran Airbnb's in Asheville, NC. I love this work so much that we just recently opened out space up for guests! Hosting is a big part of my heart and I am excited to share our home with you. I am the main host and live here with my family. My amazing partner Jared and my 6 year old daughter Maya. We also have a super rad room-mate who is an amazing cook and mountain biker, Kyle. Jared and I met each other serendipitously over two years ago on a ferry and fell deeply in love. (Ask me about our story, it's super Magic!) We have been building our community and home together ever since. He is a builder, cook, makes the best ferments, loves snow boarding, snowshoeing and also takes guests our on snowshoe adventures. We grow our own food together and do all we can with what we have as stewards of the earth. He grew up in Port Townsend from two amazing parents. We plan to make it to the Peninsula one day! Currently we are calling Cashmere home and saving up for land on the Olympic Peninsula where we will continue our homesteading projects and expand to a bigger property. Both Jared and I have traveled the world. From Central America to Thailand. All across Europe and Ireland. I've traveled around north Africa, Sinai, Palestine, Jordan, Israel. When my daughter was young we lived in Nicaragua for several months in community of organic farmers. Sarah, thats me! I have such a background of many different passions. I have trained as an artist, photographer and have traveled the world as a documentary photographer. I have had work shown in galleries across the US and in France at The Rencontres Fete. I lived in the West Bank and taught photography and art to children in Jenin refugee camp. When I returned to the US I trained as an herbalist and massage practitioner in Asheville. I also studied permaculture and began to grow my own organic food. I conceived my daughter there and as I learned about birth in the US and how political it is I decided to train as a midwife/birth keeper. During my training I became trauma informed. I practice with a trauma informed perspective and am highly skilled at commnication that is trauma aware. I am currently in the process of getting my license to practice in Washington. There was no license for midwives in NC where I worked for years. I serve on the board of Breech Without Borders and am highly skilled in breech birth. I worked with a home-birth Obstetrician for many years while in Asheville. During my pregnancy I was training as a birth worker. I moved to my hometown of Savannah, Ga to give birth to my daughter. I birthed her unassisted at home with my partner at the time. It was the single most transformative and profound experience of my entire life. I currently serve families and support women who chose to birth autonomously on their own terms. Birth is power and I strive to help women and families realize their power and autonomy. Currently I make & sell art, garden, help friends run their Airbnb's, am a birthkeeper, homeschool/unschool my daughter and am hosting this Airbnb! I love this life and all of the lovely experiences of it! We are staying busy creating and loving life. Ask us about Entheogenic medicine, herbal medicine, healing modalities, soil regeneration, home birth, growing food, unschooling, natural movement....we love these topics! We welcome everyone! This is a safe home. We practice non violent communication, we welcome all races, religions, sexual preferences, political affiliations, identities etc.
