Exceptional Host communication

Beverly Hills Charm is a quiet and spacious guest suite in the basement of a private home in the lovely "Beverly Hills" area of East Asheville. With its own private entrance, the space boasts lots of natural light through double windows in living room and a single window in the bedroom as well as an airy feel with high ceilings - not your typical "basement apartment"! Snack/beverage bar area gives you the chance to sip your favorite beverage as you plan your Asheville adventures.

The space
The basement guest suite is accessed from the back of the home, following the driveway down to the gate just past the garage door. There is a seating area outside the entryway with a table and Adirondack chairs where you can sit and listen to the quiet of the neighborhood, occasionally hearing sounds from our neighborhood flock of wild turkeys. The "refreshment bar" inside in the living area has Keurig and Nespresso makers with a variety of coffees and teas, a small fridge stocked with water bottles and coffee cream. There is also a small microwave. The washer and dryer are available if you have an emergency need for it. The home is built along a hillside (thus, Beverly "Hills"!) and there is really not a yard that is available to guests for this reason.

Guest access
Guests have access to all of the basement rooms with the exception of the garage.

Other things to note
We ask that guests be mindful of their health and plan not to travel if they have symptoms of illness.

Bears have been very active recently in the neighborhood. Please make noise as you come down the driveway through the gate so as not to startle a bear visitor. Use a flashlight in addition to our outdoor lights. Please don’t approach a bear. Don’t leave food in your car and lock your car doors when you’re coming inside. If you encounter a bear, back slowly away to return to your car until they pass on through. Call Graham and he or Savannah can yell at them and they typically move on quickly!

Neighbourhood highlights

The Beverly Hills neighborhood, with its unique and varied architectural styles of homes from the '50s to present day, is located on the hillside above the Asheville Municipal Golf Course. We are a very short distance from the Western NC Wildlife Center, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Southern Highland Craft Guild Folk Art Center, and some of the unique vintage/antique stores along Swannanoa River and Sweeten Creek Roads. We are a short drive to the downtown sites/activities, the Biltmore and to the many hiking trails that abound in the area. While there is an abundance of restaurant/bar/brewery options throughout Asheville, our own little neighborhood has an eclectic array of choices if you feel like staying a little closer to home.
