Welcome to The Grove Cottage, a modernised Queenslander residence nestled on 35 acres of picturesque landscape, offering breathtaking views and adorned with charming heritage and French provincial décor. Situated adjacent to a serene olive grove, our abode invites you to relish in the delights of summer by the refreshing pool or cocoon yourself in the cozy ambiance of a wood-burning fire during the winter months. Just a brief five-minute jaunt from the vibrant locales of Kalbar and Boonah.

The space
The cottage has 1 king, 1 queen and 2 singles and two bathrooms - one with a tub. A fully equipped kitchen, back veranda with BBQ, private pool. An outdoor seating area in the olive grove with fire pit and stunning views for sunset. The cosy lounge room has a fire place for winter and an air conditioner for summer and a little library to read a boook and enjoy the serenity and views from every window. There are air conditioners in the dining room, lounge room, king room and queen room. The single room has a fan.

Step outside onto our outdoor entertaining area, aglow with the soft luminescence of fairy lights dancing beneath the majestic canopy of a towering tree, offering panoramic vistas of the majestic Great Dividing Range.

Kindly note, while the immediate surroundings of the cottage are fenced for cattle, we recommend keeping furry friends close as the perimeter may not deter their adventurous spirit. (Not dog proof) Rest assured, our back paddocks provide ample space for exploration, complete a picturesque dam and views - albeit accompanied by the gentle hum of busy bees.
We do want to note that we do have a mob of Kangaroos that frequent the property and some may not be a fan of dogs. It's always best to keep them on a lead when you are unsure of their presence.

Your furry companions are welcome to join in the escape, with a convenient doggy gate adorning the back verandah for their safety and enjoyment.
Unfortunately we can't have dogs swimming in our pool due to hair/filtration system but we live close by to The Gorge which is dog swimming friendly and only costs a gold coin to swim in their natural Moogerah Dam fed creek.

Rest assured, we diligently maintain the pool for your comfort and enjoyment. Should leaves or any other debris find their way into the water, simply drop us a message, and we'll promptly attend to it. Living amidst the picturesque countryside comes with its share of wildlife, majestic trees, and gentle breezes from nearby hay fields. Despite these natural elements, we're committed to ensuring the pool remains pristine, as part of our dedication to providing an unforgettable country living experience.

Other things to note
We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or Christmas etc just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm.

Please note - weddings and functions have an additional hire rate and you can see our function package via the very last images on the Airbnb pics.
We regularly hosts functions and have a lot of event equipment on site.

Please only book the cottage is you will respect our historic cottage and you will look after our beautiful region. The natural beauty of The Scenic Rim and its wildlife is truly special.

The olive farm is a working farm and has wildlife, bugs, geckos and farm animals. If you want to experience the country life - Olive View Estate is the perfect place for couples, friends and families.

Hi! We are the new property owners of The Grove Cottage and we have changed the name of the farm to Olive View Estate. Our family live in the main house at the front of the property and the beautiful Queenslander is the private guest stay. We really enjoy meeting guests and going above and beyond for them. You’ll see us all pottering in the garden, walking our elderly dog, riding around on our golf buggy picking fruits from the trees and tidying up the pool and trees.
