Close to the township of Buckland and the quaint hamlet of Nugent. Buckland has a classic old Tasmanian pub. Ye Olde Buckland Inn serves meals on Friday and Saturday evenings and the bar is open 7 days a week. Buckland also has a roadhouse with 24 hour fuel, take aways and essential grocery items.

Twin Lakes is just 25 minutes from Triabunna, the departure point for Maria Island National Park. The township also has an IGA supermarket, famous fish and chips at the Triabunna Marina and local cafes and pubs offering good old fashioned counter meals.
