Great location
90% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Private residence available on 55 acre property abutting National Forest. Fully restored 1842 farmhouse with a wood burning stove, great kitchen, and two really nice bathrooms. Very close to great trails for mountain biking, primo dirt biking, snowmobiling and skiing/snowboarding. Many great hikes of varying difficulty are within half an hour. Rochester, located halfway between Killington & Sugarbush, is central VT at its best. Secluded with high speed internet, this is the perfect escape.

The space
You will have the entire house to yourself. There are three bedrooms upstairs with master bath attached to master bedroom (also accessible from hallway), plus another queen-sized bed in flexible room on first floor. TVs in every bedroom. Mountain views from the shower. First floor bathroom has luxurious shower with built-in bench. Aside from bathroom and flexible bedroom/office room, first floor is an open plan broken up by brick chimney into which a soapstone wood burning stove is set. Very fun kitchen featuring 6 burner Wolf range, full-size oven, kitchen sink with a view, dishwasher, countertop seating, and a dining nook with concrete table that seats 8. Living room area has 75" flat screen TV, couch, and a wood burning stove.

Where you’ll be

Rochester, Vermont, United States

Dead end dirt road with no other permanent residents. This is VERY quiet, the only sounds keeping you up at night will be coyotes and owls. This spot is 4 miles from the village of Rochester, a town of 1100 people. There you will find a grocery store (liquor store within), gas station, bicycle shop, ATMs, picturesque park, and cafes. Located on scenic Route 100 and nestled into the green mountains, it looks like a postcard.
