The Look Out is a self contained loft built above a detached garage, with private garden & parking for guests, 1 mile outside Taynuilt. Guests enter via external stairs to hall with bathroom off & open plan living/dining/bedroom . High ceilings, large windows to front & rear & velux windows make it a bright, airy space. The super king bed can be made into 2 singles. Fully equipped kitchen, Smart TV and sound bar. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, explorers or if you want a quiet escape.

The space
The fully equipped kitchen is provided with everything you might need from dishwasher, cooker/hob, microwave, fridge and freezer to a compact food processor which will let you grind your coffee beans, whisk up a cake or mix a cocktail. We want The Lookout to be your home from home, if there is anything you need we will always try to help. There is a large dining table which looks out over the trees and mountains.
It is an ideal space to work from home, we have super fast wifi, if you don’t get too distracted by the views. Eco and Covid 19 approved Cleaning products are provided in the kitchen and bathroom as well as a PPE set for guests.

The Living room
Two designer leather cuddle couches, coffee table, large smart tv and sound bar with an electric log effect stove. Board games and a new unwrapped pack of cards are provided for our guests.

The Bedroom
This is situated at the back of the loft and looks out over the private garden and beyond. There is a large mirrored wardrobe with plenty of storage; chest of drawers; super king comfort bed with Egyptian Cotton sheets and duvet covers; large snuggly blankets and pillows for your perfect sleeping comfort.

The Bathroom
A new air assisted walk in electric shower, toilet and washbasin. Plenty of hanging hooks and a tall cupboard for towels and toiletries. We provide a set of beach towels to take with you if you are wild swimming or paddling in the sea, rivers and lochs. Please note the property is on a septic tank system and only put toilet paper down the loo. There is a closed bin provided to put wipes and sanitary products in. The towels are 700g luxury Egyptian Cotton and we provide a full set of bath sheet, bath towel, hand towels and face cloths plus additional hand towels and face cloths. Hand sanitisers, soap and shampoo are provided.

There is underfloor heating and an additional flame effect electric stove for an extra boost of warmth if you would like to snuggle up to watch a film on the Smart TV. The sound bar gives that extra cinema feel to your viewing or you can stream music from it. We have provided additional plugs with USB connections to make charging your devices simple. With all the amazing instagram worthy shots in the local area you don’t want to run out of power on your phone.

We care about the environment, and using local producers and suppliers, and have tried as much as possible to source from local companies. We use refillable hand sanitisers and soaps from Highland Soaps plus their gorgeous guest soaps. There is a Highland Soaps shop on the front at Oban and we would recommend a browse. Chocolates from Oban Chocolate Factory are our treat to you and you must treat yourself by visiting them in Oban. Some of the cushions are provided by Highland Homewares.

All our cleaning products are septic tank safe and environmentally friendly and we refill existing containers or glass bottles. We have sourced a disinfectant used by the NHS that is approved for Covid 19 cleaning and safe to use in septic tanks. We follow enhanced Covid 19 cleaning protocols and would ask that when you leave you open the windows and put your bedding and towels in the laundry bag provided. The rug is made from 3000 plastic bottles whilst the eco duvet and pillows are also made from recycled plastics and are warm when you need them and cool when its hot.If you have a hybrid car let us know and we can arrange a domestic hookup.

The washing machine and tumble dryer are in the garage below along with additional cleaning items. There is an iron and ironing board and clothes airer in the wardrobe. In the kitchen there is a small handheld DustBuster that is very effective. The blue recycling bin takes cardboard, paper, clean plastics and other recyclables and the green bin is for non recyclable waste. There is a bin for glass too. These are at the side of the house with the wigwam pod.

Guest Access
There is a one and a half flight of wide metal stairs to reach The Lookout, which means it is not accessible for wheelchairs or if you find it difficult to climb stairs.
