Welcome to 'Aquatic Paradise' - your private bayside base in beautiful Birkdale.
Walk to coffee, shops, dinner and the train, wander down to Waterloo Bay, visit family nearby or head to Chandler for a sporting event.
Back at the suite, you’ll have your own entrance, two comfortable bedrooms, a full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi and off-street parking.
No squeezing into one hotel room. Just an easy, comfortable place to unpack, spread out and feel at home.
The space
The guest suite forms part of the owners’ home, but it is completely separate and entirely yours during your stay.
It comfortably sleeps up to four guests and works particularly well for couples, families, friends, sporting groups and business travellers who want more space than a hotel room and fewer dining-out receipts.
Room to relax:
The open-plan living and dining area is made for slow breakfasts, takeaway nights, family games and putting your feet up after a day out.
There is air conditioning in the living area, ceiling fans, comfortable seating, a TV, books and games for those rare moments when nobody wants to go anywhere.
Sleep comes easily:
The main bedroom has a queen bed, air conditioning and built-in storage.
The second bedroom has two single beds, making it ideal for children, friends, colleagues or teammates who would rather not negotiate bed-sharing arrangements.
Fresh linen, extra pillows and blankets are provided.
A kitchen that actually lets you cook:
The kitchen is fully equipped for more than reheating leftovers.
You will find a full-sized fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and a coffee plunger for the very important first job of the day.
Tea, coffee and a few pantry basics are also provided.
And treats!
Bath, shower or both:
The bathroom includes a separate shower and full-sized bath, so you can choose between getting ready quickly or disappearing into the tub for longer than planned.
There is also a washing machine, hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel and laundry detergent, plus an outdoor washing line behind the suite.
Travelling with little people?
We have tried to save you from packing half the house.
A portable cot, baby bath, infant high chair, toddler chair, children’s books and family games are available.
Stay connected:
Fast Wi-Fi is available throughout the suite for work calls, streaming, planning the day or pretending you are not checking emails while on holiday.
Guest access
You will have your own private entrance and exclusive use of the entire guest suite.
Self check-in is available via a key safe, so there is no awkward waiting around or trying to coordinate arrival times.
One off-street parking space is located right beside the entrance, which is especially handy when you have luggage, children or both.
Sensor lights illuminate the parking area and entrance after dark.

There are two small internal steps between the living area and the bedrooms and bathroom. Please take a look at the photos if mobility is a consideration.

Exterior security cameras:
For guest and property security, there are three exterior cameras on site.
They monitor:
- the guest parking area, driveway and street
- the washing line area behind the suite
- the guest entrance, host entrance and host parking area.
There are no cameras inside the accommodation or in private indoor guest areas.
If you arrive after 10:00 pm or leave before 5:00 am, you may notice a brief flashing light from the entrance camera. Nothing dramatic is happening. It simply sends the host a movement notification.

Birkdale is an idyllic bayside suburb located on Waterloo Bay. If you enjoy water activities there are boat ramps nearby and several canoe/kayak launching locations. Fishing is popular from the point in the Aquatic Paradise West Park. The West Park has a children’s playground and BBQ facilities. The Queens Esplanade has a popular walkway for exercise.
The Moreton Bay Cycleway passes through Birkdale. It is not uncommon to see large groups of cyclists along this route at any time of the day but particularly in the morning on weekends.
