This unique loft-studio makes the perfect getaway from city living. It offers a private space, surrounded by nature and the opportunity to experience everything the surrounding area has to offer. 10 minutes walk to great cafes, 1km to the beach or a short drive to the scenic SeaCliff Bridge or Bald Hill to watch handgliders.

Due to the loft bed, The Studio is not suitable for young children or people who may struggle with the stairs.

The space
The Studio has bags of character with a large open place space downstairs and a lofted double bed upstairs. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. The large seperate bathroom has a bath and shower with views of the rainforest.

The property backs onto the Illawarra Escarpment, with towering trees and plenty of birds and other wildlife. It’s very private and relaxing!

Fast WiFi is provided, along with BlueTooth soundsystem and Smart TV with Netflix. There is a kitchenette with a small fridge and sandwich press. A selection of tea, coffee, cereal, fruit and milk are provided.

Walking distance to the beach, local cafes and shops, beautiful walking tracks (including the famous Wodi Wodi Track) and the Stanwell Park train station.

No parking on the property (due to a steep and narrow drive) however there is plenty of unrestricted street parking.

Where you’ll be

Stanwell Park, New South Wales, Australia

The heart of Stanwell Park is a beautiful, rugged, surf beach with a lush backdrop of mountains and forest. There is a kiosk, large playground, tennis courts and bbq facilities near the beach, making it popular with families. It is a dog friendly beach, with dogs allowed off lead on the north end. The beach is patrolled from late September to April.

The area is mostly residential, with four cafes serving coffee and food during the day, an art gallery, boutique and bottle shop.

It’s a great place for walking and spending time in nature. Nearby trails include the Wodi Wodi Track and The Grand Pacific Trail, a paved 4km walking and cycle route that connects to the iconic Seacliff Bridge.

The closest town is Helensburgh, a 5 minute drive away, for groceries, pharmacy and other shopping. A scenic 20 minute drive south takes you through charming beaches and villages like Coledale, Austinmer and Thirroul.

I live in Sydney with my husband and our two young children. I grew up in California but have lived in Australia for over 10 years. We love to travel, spend time at the beach and visit friends. We spend a lot of time outdoors - walking, cycling, swimming and exploring new places.
