Olalla Forest Retreat is a stunning Storybook Cottage home that started in the 1960’s on 5 acres of forest & creek bed, tucked along the Olympic Peninsula. We are honored to have recently purchased the home and cherish the opportunity to share our home & land with guests. Offering a private attached suite now, we look forward to opening the space up to weddings and events, as well as healing retreats, reunions or a magical space for campers. We welcome ALL visitors with respect & gratitude.

The space
The west wing of our property offers a private, attached guest suite which we are offering for couples to getaway from the grind of the city and come to reconnect, chill out or explore. The room is approximately 300 sqft with an en suite full bathroom with a spa grade, duel shower head and seven layer filtration system and organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The sleep of your dreams is achieved on the perfectly firm queen bed that’s dressed in organic cotton sheets and plush pillows. There is a remote controlled candle filled fireplace for the coziest evenings to warm up the ambience of the room, as well as air forced heat. A smooth Natuzzi leather sofa with comfy pillows is situated across from a perfect little bamboo dining table to enjoy any meals you desire. The suite also comes with a water filter for drinking, mini French press, an electric kettle for instant hot water, microwave, bowls, plates, mugs, glasses and tableware for a service of four; all in your room.
Just outside of your exterior door is a cedar staircase leading up to a private and quaint 8 x 8 foot platform with your own heated, bubbling soaking spa for two. We sanitize the water between each guest and never let the water temperature dip below 95, so it’s always ready to enjoy. Behind the spa you’ll find a perfect space under the cedar and fir trees for gazing at the insane roof, sipping morning coffee or enjoying a drink outside on two provided chairs. The soft, cotton hammock is perfect for a rejuvenating nap.
Tucked between two gorgeous cedars is your own 4 burner grill with a side burner for sautéing and boiling.
We supply you with everything you could ever need to create amazing meals. Any cooking utensils, pots, pans, oils and basic spices are provided, along with anything else you need, in your suite. We are happy to help out with any special requests or inquiries, just ask.
We do have a freezer in our dining hall that you are welcome to use and a washer/dryer as well, for a small fee, just ask.
Our goal is to offer the moment of magic, wonder and awe that we experienced the first time we arrived at our Olalla Forest Retreat, and hope you enjoy your stay!

Where you’ll be

Olalla, Washington, United States

The property is just off of the interstate down a several acres of private farm road where you’ll see three of our neighboring horses, cows and a couple of peafowl, if you’re lucky. Olalla is nestled between Port Orchard and Gig Harbor; both of which offer Fred Meyer grocery stores, Target and Walmart, as well as fantastic downtown Gig Harbor for waterfront eats and drinks and strolling along quaint shops and sea craft rentals. Port Orchard is your gateway to the Puget Sound and onward to Bremerton, Bainbridge and Seattle Ferries. Olympic National Park is everything you could ever ask for in a breathtaking tour of a National PNW Park. Offering the Olympic Mountain Range, the Pacific Ocean, valleys, cliffs and a rainforest.
All of the above are between a 12 minute to 2 1/2 hour drive.
Pure paradise!
